I hope this addon fixes a lot of the issues and that we finally get the Portal map compatibility properly.

And this is just a fixed version of a Portal gun addon from 2014 that got open sourced. That addon is everywhere on the workshop and no one made a Portal gun addon from scratch, except Seamless Portals but that addon is more of It's own thing and it doesn't recreate the portals from Portal.

@TheGamingRalsei that is just a reskin of this addon and it has the same issues.

Will this be working as intended with pre placed portals in Portal maps. All of the portal gun add-ons have portals oriented in the wrong direction. Making it impossible to play Portal maps.

TheDesertRoad if you having an bug and it appears an message saying something with the alert icon you can copy it and send it here and can be more easier to fix or understand the cause and fix it

Sorry for today's answer, I already noticed why the portal gun had a dark texture. If you have the portal added, the gun would become a dark part with white. Fix it. The camera when you shoot the portals from top to bottom doesn't let you see your character, it's only from one side to the other. The camera when you have the portal gun (this was referring to the first portal trailer that when you shoot you can look down)

there is no such thing as a functioning, non conflicting portal gun in the workshop. yet they cant fix it :/ *copy and paste this to other portal gun addons to truly tell that the devs are too lazy to fix the bugs*

Bug/Mistake: material detection is not accurate

Bug: rocket and projectiles are broken

Bug: some portals can make you clip all the way down to the void

Bug: if you try to enter a portal by using a movable prop you will die, ex: escape_00 map, from Portal 1

i could be falling straight down and if im at the edge of the portal (which, would be acceptable by Portal's physics), it'll think im not entering, that's why i cant even trust jumping into a ground portal now. though for the record, it's always been like this, even in the original

also, why is it that i sometimes get sent really high up when entering some portals? like, far away from the exit.

im not sure, possibly. It is a mod so bugs are probable, but its pretty sound.

nah, this is the most legit. Besides, it has some bugs and things that are on other portal addons like physical and graphical bugs or the lag caused by portals

VJolt makes this, as well as a few other portal gun mods I tried, not work. That's probably to be expected it's just good that I send it here in case this is broken for anyone who has VJolt installed and hasn't realized what the reason is.

This is hella cool, it's got it's jank of course but this is the best portal gun addon I've seen yet
