you can drag the .gma in steamapps\workshop\content\4000\[item ID] (in this case the id is 3157464386) into gmad.exe in steamapps\common\GarrysMod\bin and it'll extract all the addon files
I also plan on putting my sounds onto the SFM workshop at some point so that should make it easier to get them

I think it requires an addon titled HL2 Features and/or Extended Properties , and you have to right click the strider in the context menu and click the option to make it more aggressive, then it'll start producing the ep1 sounds when you're not in its direct line of sight

100% client side; they only replace the sounds on your end, so hypothetically you'll be able to use them in multiplayer even if other players don't have them
