Hey, there is a bug with this mod: the Spellshields dont have any armor or saddle on their mounts with this mod. As soon as I disable the mod the armor is back.
I really like this mod a lot. I hope you can fix this.

Yes. Certain units still lose their horse armor under certain conditions.

It was working correctly for the tyrant knight to use the original horse armor in the mode. I thought it was an error. now I understand it properly.

What are you asking? Tyrant Knight is supposed to also use his Tyrant Knight Horse Armor regardless of culture

Is it normal for Tyrant Knights to have the same barding regardless of culture? Or is it normal to come out wearing cultural barding? Just yesterday, it seemed like the correct barding that fits the culture came out, but today, I saw that he was wearing the original barding.

No, spellshields do not have mount armor. In the base game, all T3s have mount armor by default (it was in the Primal Fury update though it wasn't listed). This mod makes sure they keep the mount armor.

Hey just fought an Astral faction with Boar mounts and noticed the hero had 'armour' on its boar but the spellshields boars did not. Should they have it too?

Oh, I forgot to mention it, but as of (6/29/24), the other horse armors overriding Tyrant Knight's have been fixed.

No. I don't add or create assets. Since new mounts don't have armor in the game's files, then that means no armor for them from this mod either.

It looks like this mod broke some mounts for heroes, in my case it was reaver nightmares, heroes kinda did animations like they are on ground while being on nightmares and when idle were floating slightly above mounts. Deleting mod fixed it.

UPDATE (3/9/24)
Tyrant Knight would randomly switch between it's own armor and the armor of the culture it's race is attached to. This has been fixed. He will now always have his Tyrant Knight Armor on.

Huh, it turns out the reason for my leader exploding when on a crocodile mount was a fault of the base game. In the recent beta posted it says that it has been fixed. Sorry for accusing your mod.

@drew_west I disabled it, and the green is base game. My modding buddies say it's a bug in the game.

To answer you, no, it is not my mod. I edit the armors and not the mounts themselves, so anything related to the actual mount itself breaking has nothing to do with my mod.

This mod might cause crocodile-mounted units to explode into a mess when using a melee attack. Not sure if this mod is the cultprit but my leader who is seated on a crocodile explodes after every melee attack.

Well, the spellbreaker's horse armor is the same color as the Spellbreaker's clothes. Is the Spellbreaker green? Have you tried disabling it to see if its the mod or base game?

I mean the comparison (the horse cloths) on the neutral spellbreaker is bright green when usually the color schemes for defaults is black or red

The whole horse is green? If so, that's also not my mod. I edit the armors on the mounts, but I didn't touch the mounts themselves.

Additionally, the game's update added in Red handles to the Horse Armor. The red handles isn't reflected in the screenshots but works perfectly in-game.

Wolf update seems to break this mod a bit visually. Some armoured mounts are missing their armor and their riders are floating, especially noticeable in the case of the Dark Knight.

If it's the actual Horse itself (and not the armor) thats glitching, you have a mod thats affecting the Horse models which mine does not.

As I told Eternal Daemon, the Horse Armor and the Horse itself are separate models that the game puts together. I only edited the Horse Armor by increasing the number of circumstances it will appear. Example: For Dark Knight and Nightmare, I had to just tell the Horse Armor of Dark Knight that Nightmare is to be included in the list of mounts that would receive the armor if the mounted unit is Dark Knight.

When I use this mod, the horse models glitch through the ground, but the others are fine. Are there mods that this mod is incompatible with or know of way to see which mods conflict with this.

@Elliott I have now added the Awakener, Bastion, and Spellbreaker to the mod, so they should also have armors for when they are mounted.

@Eternal Daemon It does neither. The Mount armors are their own models, so the armor and the mount are actually separate models that the game puts together. As for Horse Armor, all I did was add Nightmare and Unicorn to the list of mounts the armor appears on.

When it comes to the Warg, Wolf, and Boar, I had to copy/paste the code from the Heroes (who get armor on all of them by default) and changed it to work on the units (i.e. Dark Knight, Feudal Knight, etc) if they have the corresponding mount.

What exactly does this mod change? Is it a change to the models of the mounts, or does it change the entire unit model?

Great mod. I noticed some of the units that become mounted when you pick an exotic mount trait don't get the armoured version for example the tier 3 Industrious unit Bastion when mounted on a nightmare doesn't get the armour when I think he'd look way better if he did. Is there any way to incorporate that?

Does this mean for example Dwarf knights on boars will have the armoured version rather than the 'naked' one.

If so thats awesome its bugged me since launch and meant all my races just use the horse because it looks weird to see a knight riding an animal with no tack/accessories/armour
