@Checkpoint Guard Ya, eventually Ill come back and do a V2 with better camera and animations and other fixes. But my current project is in halo 3, and I haven't had time to work on that because my life got wrecked by predatory corporations and Ive been struggling ever since.

Always loved this mod, but I gotta ask, is there a way to have an over the shoulder camera 3rd person view that's a little closer instead of directly over the head that's so far away? It sort of makes it hard to shoot accurately and see what's in front of you.

Fixed 08/05/25. Sorry Ive been away, Ive been fighting my way out of corporate slavery. Ill be stable and back to modding in a couple months.

To the author: the march EAC update broke all mods and they need to be updated either manually (if the subscriber has the method) or by the mod authors themselves.

@Red the music Zoro I wanted to put some in Sacred Icon but getting them to follow me through all that dropping in tunnels would be a scripting nightmare if not impossible. Everybody is pretty much dead in quarantine zone.

cyberwolf someone already made a over the shoulder version kinda like this mod but i wanted the camera angel you had please keep it around and if you do decide to make it maybe make a new file for it? i love the way it is thank you

@Dissolved He's not invisible, he just doesn't animate, but some parts you can see him hiding from the camera. In the beginning of the first mission you can see him staying behind when he says "you said there wouldn't be any cameras."

really fun mod! would be perfect if in the cut-scenes chief was an odst instead of being invisible tho

@Checkpoint Guard I primarily made this mod for Anniversary, but due to limitations on H2A tools, I couldn't customize it the way I wanted to, so the OG version was an afterthought. I dont really care for modding pre 360 era games, and I'd like to move on to other projects. There are tons of mods out there with all these extra features and I just wanted to make a what if scenario using existing assets that you normally have access to, and play as npcs that im familiar with, without changing too much. I wish I could change the camera to over the shoulder or at least zoom in more but I couldn't figure out how.

@Checkpoint Guard The 3rd person ODST arms ive seen are either black spartan arms or those H3:ODST fingerless gloves that dont make any sense or look good to me. I made all of this without using other peoples assets and didnt want to have to build entire models myself. Future mods for other halos will feature better models and borrowed assets though, so keep an eye out for those. I included the tags in the nexusmods optional files if anybody wants to use them though. Thanks for the support, subscribe to my youtube if you want to see my upcoming mods.

There also might be an ODST model out there that allows vehicle boarding as well, which also allows normal grenade throwing, dual wielding, and access to weapons not usually usable by marines. The 'Halo 2 with sprinkles' mods features it, I'm pretty sure, as well as other playable ODST mods for halo 2! I'd check it out for sure if you wanna smooth the mod out a bit! Maybe even look into the Heretic variants for Hunters and Jackals, and flood heretic, brute, jackal and grunt variants too, I know they all exist, and would really bring flavor to the mod, that's already outstanding!

I really like the concept of this mod a LOT, very good, the only thing I'd ask to change, is the POV of the 3rd person camera. It's a bit too far backwards, I wonder if there's a way to have it closer? Or maybe have a version of the mod that's 1st person, too? I know there's a mod out there that has 1st person ODST arms!
