i have now updated the mod to include catacombs, and a few other floors

yep, that's normal. this mod kinda hijacks the gamma setting so you can't edit it normally.

if you want to adjust gamma, you will have to use Mod Config Menu

it is supposed to update on new floors, and seems to work fine for me.

by any chance, are you using a curse remover mod? if it removes darkness after this mod updates, that would cause the first room to be brighter

I have noticed that when first entering a floor (such as just now Depths 1), the screen is clearly too bright, and when entering any room from there it corrects. So its look like its not running on the start of a first level, and runs on room change? Hopefully there is an API call for new level or something like that you can tie in to. Not a deal breaker, still using it, but we would be a nice fix. Thanks again!
