I do have a few other thoughts I would like to mention. Have you considered making the Herald of War a fiend to allow a bit more synergy with chaos tomes?
As it is currently an elemental, it would benefit more from the Tome of the Creator, but if it were both an elemental and a fiend, that might prove interesting. The same goes for the Karagh; I believe it technically counts as a giant/demigiant. But allowing it to count as an animal as well would allow some synergy with nature tomes.
These are only suggestions, of course. If you don't like the idea, find it too immersion/lore breaking, etc. No worries; I just thought I would offer them to make the units a bit more enticing, as it is rather hard to get any sort of buff for most mythic units.
