1. Open the "Government" view
2. Go to "Policies and Edicts"
3. Scroll to the bottom, there should be a free edict saying "Show More Trait Picks"
4. Activate this edict
5. New edicts will show up
6. Click the edicts you want to use
7. Modify your species
8. (Optional) After modifying an applying your changes, uncheck the edicts
9. (Optional) After unchecking the edicts, uncheck the "Show More Trait Picks" edict to make the menu less cluttered

Hey, just wanted to give a quick recommendation of a change in the script.

You're preventing the AI from taking them by changing the weight, but I would recommend forbidding the AI completely by setting "is_ai = no" in the potential or allow blocks.

I've seen AI take things that they were weighted against taking.

Tested and it works fine. Might be a mod incompatibility? Mind you, you can only use the extra points and picks with the in-campaign method in the "Species" tab.

Yes, you do have to have the tech, else it won't work. I tested it just a few days ago, and could confirm that it works.

i started a new game with this mod, and chose the edict that gives 10 trait picks and trait points, but i dont get any in the species tab when i look at my pops, but the edict gov civic slots works, do i need to have the technology that allows me to modife my pops first?

Btw, there's a typo in the mod. You wrote `moretraitpicks_machine_...` for both the point and pick ones (instead of writing `moretraitpoint...`, so the point one overwrites the pick one.

As it turned out, the mod wasn't causing the crash that I had specified. Instead it was a different mod that was used thru the edicts tab being responsible.

No, I intentionally made it player-only. Most other Trait Pick mods should be bugged and allow the AI to use it too. I may make a separate mod if there's some requests for it.

I adore how this mod just breaks the game. Thanks a bunch for making this as my other mods that increase trait picks don't always work.

Go into Edicts, select the Edict to show the Trait Pick/Points increase edicts, select some, then do your changes. I haven't tested if it applies to the AI too if you select it, however, you can just finish up your species modification, apply the template, then unselect the Edicts.
