The AI in the Lobby ShootOut is still sometimes stupid, will work on this next as well.
Other than that, I've tested this mod out in full off the workshop, transitioning from the Construct all the way to the Credits level. So there shouldn't be anymore bugs.
Will do more playtests tomorrow to double check.
The level where you use the minigun to save Morpheus gets a little slow and has some timescale bugs going on. Gonna fix this next.
Other than that, the levels play smooth and most of the parts I'm able to maintain solid FPS on my Pimax Crystal Light/3060.
The last one isn't "perfect", but I'll continue working on it.
Also, the music is no longer perfectly in sync in some areas of the ride. Will be fixing that later.
Good luck.
Rooftop levels, may be a little buggy still. Working on getting it all fixed today.
The Decals had disappeared with the new bullet system. I've put it back in.
Also made sure the fire from the elevator blast appears each time.
Gonna work on the rest later.
Fixed the lighting as well as the AI bug where the Enemies are only aiming at Trinity.
Now they fight both of you.
I get to experience it now, like many of you...
It crashes for me as well, as soon as I load up into the City level. Will try again soon, and if it persists, I'll fix it and the rest of the crashes...
The division of the rooftop level, should also give the combat on the rooftop a big performance boost as well...
Lastly, I divided the level where you dodge the Agents bullets and save Morpheus, into 2 levels. It was just too much load on the system trying to cram it all into 1 level. This should also help boost performance a little if you destroy the entire side wall with the minigun
Will post a new video soon.
Now all bullets are using the Tracing method instead of actually relying on the physics engine for each fast moving bullet. This is gonna help out dramatically anytime tons of bullets are flying. Big performance improvement.
I've also taken out all Easter Eggs, and placed them in separate addons. A Smaller level, will always perform better.
You can check them out at

It should run faster and smoother.
1. Optimized the bullet system. Now bullets travel via Tracing instead of relying on the physics engine.
2. This also results in twice less entities spawned everytime a bullet is fired, because its no longer using a trigger_hurt each time a bullet is spawned.
3. Removed the Easter Egg and turned it into a Solo Addon.
Ive lately been focused on studying Anatomy, to be able to make real models of Trinity and Morpheus, but I've been thinking also about how to better optimize the mod, for this game.
I think what I will do to see if I can better optimize this is...
1. I'm going to remove all Easter Eggs, and just turn them into separate HLA Addons. This will help save on load and memory.
2. I will divide up the Rooftop level into 2 levels, to help increase the FPS more, for less Load on the system
3. I'm gonna optimize the trajectory of bullets, to be more system-friendly.
That's really interesting.
I will assume that you have downloaded all 5 addons and have enabled them. But if this wasn't the case, please make sure to do so.
If you ran it normally, like i assume, both times, with computer specs better than mine, then there is something truly wrong. The only difference between us is that I'm running at 64 gb ram.
When you say you can get into the Elevator, which elevator? The Lobby's Elevator?
So, are you able to go all the way through to the Lobby Shootout, but at the Elevator it crashes?
If i recall correctly, id spawn into the starting area but crash and be sent back to the title screen quite fast. Sometimes i can manage to get into the elevator, but i couldn't get much farther than that.
What are your system specs?
the mod doesnt even launch?
What is your experience?
You can skip the intro. There's a button on the Floating Menu that says, "Skip Intro". Try that again, there should be no reason it crashed for you at the phone booth, unless you didn't enable all the addons.
Eagerly looking forward to your reaction.
Rooftop Level
1. fixed one of the obstacles from not spawning in
2. made smith's dodges faster, quicker
3. fixed some physics on the tents
4. added helicopter sounds
5. made all helicopters faster
6. fixed some shadows and atmospherics
7. made it finishable, by turning on God mode when you jump for Morpheus
8. Silenced Alyx
9. Made slow motion stop a little sooner after the heli collides with the building...
10. fixed smiths aiming when ur dodging bullets
More Updates Coming
Thanks for that catch. I forgot that I test this out with God mode on so I the combine dont kill me and I can relax as I demo.
If you're experiencing death (unpassable), i will turn on godmode automatically for you, when you jump, in the next update today. Sorry about that.
Wdym by Deadzones?
Thank you for the feedback!
I just saw the video and at 37:47 when you fall with Morpheus , you hear the death sound, you can't pass through it without the god mod i wanted to be sure if i wasn't the only one to hear this
Jumping at the green light is working fine
Please check the deadzones
Awesome mod btw
Can you be a little more clearer about the 1st part of your problem.
I've disabled entrance to the Helicopter, until you dodge all the bullets from the Gman (which i know he was shooting too low before. Fixed that. If its still broken, ill fix it again)
Next, on to your 2nd issue, what do you mean the player dies? Fade to black?
If it fades to black and Morpheus falls, it means you didn't jump in time.
If this part is too difficult, I can try making it easier, or make that scene restart when you fail.
Otherwise, it should be just like in the video I just posted to this Mod.
Having said that, it makes me very glad that you were able to make it that far, as I have not heard from many in regards to the direction this mod is going...
I love how some bugs are still present even after I thought I fixed them. haha!
Anyways, the Rooftop should now be fully progressable...
I also fixed the Lobby Shootout a little more; fixed the ai, adjusted a minor graphical error, and fixed some of the save game programming going on.
I also disabled the collisions on Elevator Button Panel, as whatever going on with that was just really annoying to fix.
Fixed the finale VR Rope Ride, and added some atmospherics and sfx.
Applied fixes to the Lobby Shootout Music
I think that about does it for all the bugs that were present.
Sorry about that, ladies and gentlemen.
Here are the next things on my to-do list regarding this Mod.
1. Gonna create a short video walk-through of the entire mod, start to finish
2. Gonna create a longer video showcasing the 2 Major Easter Eggs
3. Gonna edit 1 more trailer video that includes parts of the original and parts of the short walkthrough in #1.
4. Gonna upload a bunch of screenshots from those videos onto this page
5. Gotta finish creating the Deathmatch Levels
6. Create the Morpheus & Trinity models
Pardon the delay. Been catching up on other VR I wasnt able to due during the development of this mod.
Made the Earth not visible in the beginning of the Intro Ride... Forgot to turn that off last time, sorry.
Looks like the Music in the Lobby Shootout is working, but not looping perfectly on cue. (Will be fixing this next)
I've also restored the music on the Rooftop as well, it should be working.
Also fixed the tent's lamp on the rooftop, again...
Also fixed the issue with the Rooftop level not progressing (2 combine werent spawning in).
If you've noticed, the Combine on the Rooftop are much more intelligent. I didn't setup the spawning of the last 2 Combine here when I made the AI adjustment...
Next things to fix will be:
1. The Adaptive Music for the Lobby Shootout
2. The Finale VR Rope Ride (I'll make it more fun and less crashing into the walls...)
I've come up with a working method that should let you load up the Autosave now within the Lobby Shoot Out level if you die.
If you die in the Lobby Shoot Out, just reload the Autosave which will restart the fight.
Unfortunately, I haven't come up with a method to let you to load a game saved during the shoot-out, as that would've been pretty cool. Those pillars are just so damn detailed intentionally.
- For myself, watching the intro cinemas, at one point, to follow what going on, I had to rotate from 12 to 3 o'clock, and then a little later, back to 12 o'clock.
Overall, a more pleasant experience, until dying, and then not being to start the game up again.
- Overall the game was playing fine, up to the point I was facing off against the armored guards in the building lobby. After getting killed, and trying to load the game back up, the game was warning me I had low Video RAM (I think), and kicked me out of the game entirely.
- At the very beginning of the game, at the main options screen, I could not seem to select anything by trying to touch the red/green circle besides each option.
The Rooftop, Performance-wise, should be playable. No more FPS drops.
Bugs Still Present:
1. Agent Smith walks too slow.
2. Smiths Bullets are too fast (made them physically accurate)
3. Helicopter's Minigun Bullets don't fly
4. The Helicopter's Physical Body seems to malfunction during the Minigun Scene
Will be working on fixing these, this weekend.
Still gotta remove that weird lighting thing going on in the Lobby Shootout, and still gotta fix the Music/Sound issues.
So, ENJOY IT!
In addition to this, the level transition from the Lobby Shoot Out, even after all the chaos, into the Rooftop, should also be easier on the system, as I kill almost all the expensive props right before the transition... (Probably TMI for the user)
The Construct Intro Ride is also now 100% bug free. There were some issues with the very ending and into the transition into the next level..
@josefaction
I've fixed the issues with clipping when your on the helicopter. You should freeze in your game position, until the heli reaches the place where you minigun the agents.
Other than that, like for the Subway, I can't fix the occasional clipping that happens.
The next thing I'll work on is getting that in-game cut scene to play...
The entire Training Sequence, is working perfectly. I've tested it.
If you are missing a Sky Texture in that level, then you aren't playing the latest version. Make sure the Addons are Updated.
From which levels are you having trouble progressing through, and which levels are slowing down your beefy computer? It should all run pretty smoothly.
I'm currently rebaking the Rooftop level to fix a number of issues I found.
The Cut Scene not working, is a known issue I'm working on.
Training Levels work perfectly now. Tested off the workshop.
The ammo box in the Rooftop Level should work better now. Still gotta test that myself.
The helicopter should also be more stable, less chances of falling out. Gotta test this.
Fixed some logic with the Lobby shootout, so you cant just walk with the bag to the end.
Shooting the ladder should work a lot easier now, as I've already tested it off the workshop.
Movie still isnt playing.
More updates to come!
As far as the AmmoBox not opening properly and you falling out of the Helicopter, I'm currently fully rebaking that level in attempts to fix the issues you mentioned. The Ammo Box not opening up properly I think is an easy fix that should be done by the time I upload the new version.
With the Helicopter, assuming you actually made it that far (killed all 10 guys on the rooftop, then killed the 15-20 more backup Marines, followed by Dodging Bullets from Agent Smith, and then followed Trinity to the Helicopter), I would try it again. I've made some more adjustments to the physics shell of the helicopter as well as slowing down the helicopter ride to help prevent the player clipping through.
