i love this map from few seconds for looking around for short while makes me wonder what the hell happened to the people that lived why is there floating stuff and orbs everywhere who are the so called "grandfathers"

oh oops, I have a night version of gm_grandhumid in the works, night version of this map would be cool but I really don't know if I wanna touch this map ever again, it was full of bugs and issues

Finding out you have ANOTHER map after playing humid gives me the same feeling as discovering the halo 3 multiplayer maps disk. these maps remind me a lot of the old style sandbox/fight maps like freespace, fightspace, warzone, excess construct, etc etc, very cool genre

This map is conflicting with gm_lostforest

The issue is that both addons have the file "models/props/generated_prop.mdl", so whichever loads second will override the first.

i would put this map among the ranks of las meninas, the school of athens.. beethoven's 9th. its that good. a total work of art. a map that depicts a chaotic and disorderly realm, yet with so much cohesion and subtlety.

those orbs and green bolts of lightning passing through the sky, like an omen from god.

This is genuinely one of the most impressive sandbox maps I've ever seen on the workshop. I can't believe how good this looks. I honestly kept doubting that this was actually original work as I was wandering around, and googled information on it to see what game they ripped this from.

It's actually just art. Walking through the map you can tell that the author really loved every second of making it. The use of just brushwork is unbelievable. It's reminiscent of older, late 90s early 2000s styles, but done incredibly well to convey a sense of scale and weight to the world. The skybox is stellar, the structures intricate and well thought out, I could really just keep going but I think it's for the best that anyone reading this just checks themselves to see what I mean.

Thanks! The FPS drops are just kind of natural given the structure of the map, Next time I'll try to look out for that and be more liberal with the stuff I learned from making this map, Also not really sure why the ground flickering issue happens, Never ran into that during play testing so that's something to look into when I come back to update this thing later down the line

can definitely see why the nodegraph was painful to do, valve didn't node massive open spaces on their maps often

for your first map it's really quite stellar, no area feels like you forgot to put stuff in it, for such a massive map that's not easy. i get some fps drops but it doesn't really bother me persoanlly

i did have to turn mat_specular to 1 to stop the ground flickering, if anyone else ends up having this issue
