As for adding grants... I tried my hand at modding grants and failed miserably lol. I may give it whirl again.

In any case, I have added all your ideas that I like to my "to-look-into" list, but be forewarned, if I do implement them, it will not be until after A30 is released. I have a good idea of things that are going to be implemented and I don't want to have to undo everything I worked on.

I greatly appreciate your feedback.

Part 1

The mod currently does have a requirement of a filing cabinet, the game does not allow coding for forced multiple items. I can only code it as none or 1/more. I could add a requirement for a table, but I like to keep things simple. If I add a requirement for a table, then someone else will ask to have it removed. If you like having tables and multiple cabiinets in your contraband rooms, then by all means go for it. The game has a minimum requirement for rooms, there is no maximum or restriction for items.

As for adding guard lockers, I'm going to flat out say no. Though it would look cool, this would take away from the feel of the room, and the lockers would increase the number of armed guards allowed. Not something I want for this room.

I do like the idea of this but may I recommend adding some requirements for the room ( A table and two filling cabinets or guard lockers would help it look the part) and either a small Grant for building the room or possibly implementing a similar income as the The File Room from the Computers and More Mod.
At the moment theres no real reason to build the room other than roleplay purposes and perhaps a minor additional challenge.

I've said this over and over... Contraband items are not actual objects in the game, they are just metadata.

X room has Y Contraband, if prisoner is in room X for Z amount of time with 0 guards, he has a 90% chance of stealing item Y from that room. But you never actually see it happen. Just the fact that the prisoner is in the room causes this scenario to play out in the game's background.

It seems that the room gives you nothing in visual, just occupies the place. May be one could check out what happens if a riot occurs and prisoners get in the room?

Can you actually see the contraband in the prison? Because I cant see it in my room, so Im not sure if it is broken or not, and also no troubles/riots to test it

Hm, may be you'd add an option to sell these thing we confiscate to outer world (good person) or even back to prisoners for higher values to control contraband in your prison(bad person behavour)?

No, the game doesn't work that way. Contraband is not a useable item it's just metadata.

Multiple floors would have to be added by the devs at Introversion. I'm just a mod developer, I have no association with Introversion.

Im putting a armed guard in there with bodyarmor and tazer, because this has dangerous things so you gotta keep it REEEAL protected. im VERY cereal about that ok.

The game makes the difference between the 3. The idea is, a prisoner can come into the prison with a gun on him and have it confiscated on arrival, which would then be plced in this room. Shotguns and rifles not so easily... they would only be attainable in the Armoury.

Just to help avoid any confusion, the room itself does not hold any metadata. There is no real contraband stored here. As far as modding/gameplay is concerned, this is just a room that all types of contraband can be obtained. Anything else is just RPG and your imagination.

This does make sense. At least until the contraband can be either destroyed, or removed from the prison. I figure they will add something like this to the game later on, but it's just not a priority yet. I just hope it's like the storage room, where if it's not large enough, it just lays around un-secured.

Just reading this makes sense to me, in the game I got confused for the Grant wishing for us to remove all the contraband and I couldn't figure that out. This is the answer.
