Is there even a way to harm it? Or to survive it crashing into you? I had 200% HP and still got instakilled when it came in or out of the ground. Even Basilisco was more fair than this

All it does is crash itself into the ground and curl up into a ball.

This mod is too incomplete to be controllable like Basilisco Airstrike. It's set to indestructible, it doesn't react to damage, its attacks are too easy to avoid and it just stays under the map when going back underground. And no, teleporting is not an issue. Also I see this project is abandoned so no hopes for improvements.

I feel like this could combo very well with Basilisco as a sort of tag-team fight, though maybe both would need separate versions to balance that out. Perhaps a kind of "area denial" sort of deal? Beams could be telegraphed before becoming active, and then once active could wake the thing up whenever you step inside instead of being limited to noise. Or perhaps making the noise detection areas larger, since right now it would be way too easy to avoid.

Side note, the design for this thing is amazing, do you design them yourself or have you got an artist conceptualizing?

Unfortunately I never liked that some content was removed and now, 9 years later, I finally decided to get my hands dirty and do something about it!

Obviously I needed a little artistic freedom to blend all the pieces together naturally, consistently, since we have many unfinished or unrefined parts mixed with map resizes, but I didn't leave important features out! Each version got carefully looked, and even the doubtful things are back! I also took the liberty of integrating some improvements.

This NPC should definitely have an airstrike mod, like the basilisco airstrike. Also, as a suggestion, i think it'd be cool if there was an attack where it has those "tentacles" near it's head charge up a massive laser in between them, that grows in size and power before converging into one massive blast that obliterates everything. During the boss fight, though, it couldn't aim while attacking, allowing you to have ample time to run away and take cover before it shoots the "nuke blast".

why are people asking for an air strike? it almost ruins the entire ambush persona, i think there should be a sort of underground attack like a ram barrage type thing
