Chungie Bungie, in the github you can access our development builds, so you'd be able to test the current indev, potentially unstable, version of it, yes. This was always the case but we cant just have everyone do that because maintainence would be HELL. Our indev version is "getting there", so if you want to try that out of impatience, I'd say just give it a little more time and play the actual finished product, now if what you want is to help us test the thing or peek into the development process then....by all means go to our github and try it. Now, we try not to discuss much in regards to development due to how people tend to act here, as you just saw, but if you want to discuss things about what you find on github, join the Modding of Isaac discord, where we have a channel dedicated to rgon and you may find more info about the development process there.

y'all really need to understand that these devs are working on this in their free time out of the goodness of their hearts and that they have actual fucking lives to live as well. these random regular ass people, doing this FOR FREE, are not obligated to crank out an update in a super short time frame. they aren't obligated to do fucking anything quite frankly. so y'all need to sit down, shut up, learn some goddamned patience for once, and maybe offer to help out if you think it's taking too long

question: would it work right now if I went to the github repo and built it myself? I know you are experimenting with some kind of launcher, so would I have to build that too?

I'll just say that we are not just working on the rep+ update(all fucking bazillion of them) itself, we are also working on tools and techniques so this longass waits dont happen again and you are able to play rgon more reliably in the future.... No, we dont think waiting a fucking year for a rgon update is acceptable, but it is what it is, we do what we can do at the rate that we can do it.
Also, remember this is our hobby, we do this for fun, on our freetime, its not a fulltime job that we dedicates our lives to, so 1 years is not really 1 year of work.

@F3LLGaming, as for Repentance+, as it is distributed with more convenient access (free update) and innovations anyhow, but still there are more attractive changes, and while there are problems after downgrade back to Repentance, then updating to the latest dlc (but currently not to the latest patch), is an acceptable solution

maybe when you learn how to talk to people without sounding like a pedantic, childish and impatient idiot, people will start talking to you like an actual adult.
if the progress of this mod getting into rep+ bothers you that much, maybe you could, idk, help them without whining about it

@Eden ah yes focus on that and make insults. im just irritated by how long its taking. i play plenty of other stuff besides isaac you know. just majority of the mods i want to try rely on repentagon and im not going through the hassle of down-grading Tboi to try them.

@F3LLGaming, I understand your impatience about it, but I should point out some facts. Repentogon is a very different beast than other mods that take longer to adapt to new versions of the game, but as is typical of a normal mod, we do development in our free spare time on our own intuition. In addition, in parallel with the port we have been working on a new Launcher that should allow you to run the mod without any problems with more intuitive installation.

If you want the update to come out as soon as possible, you can join our channel in Discord server Modding of Isaac where the required steps are detailed, or become a direct contributor/developer

Yea, bro, theres no way its been taking us all this time. In reality, what we have been doing is just waiting for you to get mad, and its working.

and maybe be more professional. i get people asking CONSTANTLY can be annoying but being snarky and rude over it is just unprofessional.

plus with just how many mods rely on repentagon to function you seriously need to get it updated so people stop bitching about it. im more annoyed because i get when a game updates it takes time to update a mod depending on the size of the update but this isnt something like minecraft where you have to work around huge coding changes. rep+ didnt even ADD anything and just changed some numbers around. sure theres online now but it doesnt even allow mods so no way in hell that effects devolpment time.

it has been a year bro. how is this not a on rep+ yet dude? i get modding takes time but it does not take you over a year to update a mod bro. especially since rep+ barely even changed anything. nothing new was added nor was anything drastically changed. a few items got buffed and nerfed and there were some bug fixes and small QoL changes. no way in hell its taking you over a year to fix repentagon to work with that.

I'm not really sure if there any viruses, so i don't want to download that stuff, is there another way for this mod to work?

dude i did both the manual and automatic method and still doesnt work it still puts the big red letters telling me i downloaded it wrongly is there a way to fix this

I thought I got it to work but now I have the big red letters saying it wasn’t installed properly whenever I enter a run. Not sure what to do? I unzipped Repentogon and put everything into the game folder. I’m not seeing any logs at all so I’m assuming it’s not actually working despite me having the files and such in the right places

Is there any way to use Repentogon on the ChromeOS Steam beta? It's not possible to browse the files and I don't know any way around it.

After i downloaded Repentogon everything has been completely normal, except for the fact that the boss jingle when it says (character) VS (boss) isnt playing, its just comletely mute, can anyone tell me how to fix it? It still plays the boss music but not the lil jingle

Thats the thing tho, if "someone" makes an update, it will be released as a repentogon update, lol.
You dont need a certification to contribute to this mod, all you need is to want to do it and just do PRs to our github....thats why we started with 3-4 people and now dozens of people contribute from time to time.

Chill, ya'll these just some coding nerds with a passion for indie games, they ain't some triple a devs, they'll have it up soon enough or (cause repentagon's like the most downloaded isaac mod) someone will make an update.
