holy cow, i just came across this thread to see someone have the exact same weird bug. @ymbpa5475,

the random gas can bug is caused by the weapon_melee.txt script, for some reason if you set the WeaponType to "pistol" (so that you can use it while incapped) will cause that weird gascan bug to appear.

ive been told that it usually replaces magnums and that its only on select maps, but ive yet to confirm.

i still have no idea how to fix it, but right now im thinking it'd be something along the lines of manually scanning every weapon spawn area and if it finds a gas can, replace it with a t1/t2.

@RF, if you would be willing to help find a fix for it, id love to work with you. that said im noob at vscript

for whatever reason with this addon installed i had alot of gascans (that cannot be used or exploded) lying in places of T1 and T2 weapon spawns. no idea how and why.

Yes. It wont however do anything in single map customs though.
