Certain places are meant to be empty so that the server can fill it with intractable entities and games, and there isn't any sounds due to the fact that the map is so big that cycling though all the ambient sounds causes the game to freeze up.

Woah. Surprise map update?!
I can open it up in sandbox and i've gotta say what I see is really cool, but trying to open it in Cinema mode causes gmod to crash. Unsure if this is due to the branch i'm on (64x/chromium), or the OS (Arch Linux, played natively). I can't seem to get any look at the logs before the crash occurs, since it happens during loading.

Btw a heads up, the ambient window lights in the bar are mistakenly named so turning the lightswitch on and off in private theater 2 turns the lights on and off in the bar too.

There is a known issue with soundscapes causing some fps lag, we'll be fixing that in a future update.

I do know a mod to fix your hell, Perfomance Render.
Yeah sorry buddy, i aint writing a entire desc about it.

I have a pretty strong gaming computer and enabled all the console commands (including multicore enabled) that help FPS but the map still lags like hell. I have no issues with other resource heavy maps and on a lot of them, I don't need to improve the performance with console commands at all. It's making the map nearly unplayable for me it lags so badly, which is a shame because this looks like an amazing mall map. Hopefully some future updates will improve the optimization on my end.

after searching for a bit, i found out that most of the textures came from me not having the Counter-Strike: Source files installed. got it off the store for only $1, and the errors resolved themselves. thanks for your help though, love the map

@Tatsu, I believe you have some addons conflicting with material paths, try cleaning out your gmod and disabling all addons. Let me know here if it persists.

For some reason I'm constantly getting sub-20 FPS. I haven't been able to pinpoint the cause beyond a single playermodel addon, but removing that one ultimately had no effect, even though it alone was causing the issue...

@keifergibson25 : The map on it's lonesome is 200mb in size, this is before any content is even packed into the level. I tried to reuse as much assets as possible without sacrificing the vision I had for the map
