Just a balance suggestion, but I would limit the healing aura and abilities to not affect mechanical units like Gyrocopters or Thunderbarges. Those units are already very powerful with high hp per entity so giving them massive heals just makes it impossible to kill them

Is there a version that does not require Mixu's Unlocker? When I played a dwarf campaign without the unlocker as Thorek Ironbrow I recruited a brew-master but he had the unit model of an orc shaman.

I was able to partially circumvent the problem I'mm having by picking a different minor factions and using the swap starting settlement mod. Whats odd is its available to other minor factions but not Karak Azorn or Firebeards Excavators

Is there any way to make the brew hero recruit able by minor factions? I was trying it on the minor dwarf faction in immoral empires expanded and its not at the building anywhere

Updated with CaptainCaveman7's fix. Let me know if that fixes it, although I'm not sure what I can do if it doesn't. My game seems to be completely borked.

@Rauri, I think the issue is at unit_sets_to_unit_junctions_table where it doesn't recognize dwf_characters. Changed that value to dwarf_all_units_exclude_slayers that I saw in some other dwarf hero mod and was able to load the game.

I did and starting a new campaign fixed it right up. Im so stoked. Been waiting since ToD to start my Malakai campaign and now all my ducks are in a row. Thank you sincerely.

Did you activate mixer during an ongoing campaign? if so, try starting a new campaign and see if that fixes it. I made the same mistake while testing the mod after 5.0 dropped

I didnt have it active. Thank you for the direction. I can recruit a brewmaster now. Not sure if its on my end or the mod but the portrait, unit card, and model are all of a Kislev "boyar" I want to say. Not sure I dont play Kislev much.

Mixer is on. I specifically started a new company and made 50 moves there. I can’t hire a hero specifically. Maybe you need to infuse something in the mixer?

U have mixer mod enabled @Diablo? Also when you enable mod in the middle of campaign sometimes have to wait a couple of turns for the heroes to appear to recruit in the pool

So far I found the Beer abilities do resurrect models but the Blessing of Valaya doesn't, despite saying it does. I had 100 Longbeards, 9 got killed, it healed to 91's worth of healing and stopped healing, no models resurrected. But Bugman's Dark Choice worked great.

Just tested it and they revived for me, so it's probably what chopchop said. It'll only revive up to the number of entities the unit had at the start of the battle.

After testing I am very happy with your Brewmaster but one thing I wondered was whether he is intended to resurrect dead friendly combatants in his 35m area of effect. It says "heals injured before resurrecting" but I am absolutely certain that he is not resurrecting dead combatants because my units that have taken casualties have stopped healing below their original health amount. For example, Dwarf Warriors base HP is 7800 with 100 models on Ultra. At 93/100 they stop healing at 7254 health while in range of the healing.

Is he meant to resurrect or is the tooltip incorrect or are you yet to figure out how to mod in the resurrection part?

I tried using that mod a while back. IIRC, it uses the same cap and pool that mixu's slayer does (dignitary agent type I believe), and the slayers and brewmasters all get blended together into the same pool, which isn't ideal. As for checking that mod, pretty sure I got the idea for the rank buffs from there, might even have copy/pasted. If so, the tech buffs probably aren't working in that mod either 😅

Hi Rauri, thank you for the mod :WH3_clasp: Maybe you'd be interested in aligning this Brewmaster with another Brewmaster mod on workshop and maybe put them in same hero cap, also can take a look at how that mod is done and use the know-how to do what you want :)

Yeah, I agree. I've been meaning to update this anyway as the tech recruitment buffs weren't working correctly. I'll be uploading an update later today. Now if only I could figure out why the +1 recruitment buffs are giving +2 (although I doubt anyone cares about that, it's not a bad bug to have). I remember a post on the wh2 page mention it was getting rank buffs from the thanes as well, so maybe that's it.

The only suggestion I have to change about this mod is to remove the +2 capacity at tier 4. While I think unlocking more Dwarf hero capacity is excessively expensive and difficult in vanilla (tier 4 to get any more is crazy with this low ass vanilla growth), I think you've gone a bit too far the other way, especially given the ability of the Brewmaster to grow provinces faster in your fantastic mod. I think it would fit the capacity unlocks of other more recently created/updated races if we unlock at tier 2, get +1 capacity at tier 3 and then leave it at that for tier 4. That's how it is for most other heroes in the game now except the older races' ones and I'm hoping that's what we'll see in Thrones of Decay for Dwarfs. What do you think?

Will loading Mixu's Unlocker activate Brewmaster candidate spawns in saves that previously didn't have it active?
