To likely cut down on how hard it is to update or handle these standalone shipsets. Typically unless you're really zoomed in I don't expect it'd matter much.
Dunno, I'd need to make stations for it, and don't have a need for it yet.
That said I also think their are other TNG era ship classes that'd work as suitable swaps.
Probably doesn't help that I at least have no memory of ever seeing such a ship from when I watched TNG stuff xD
I know that the Freedom class (listed as Firebrand here) is canon, but it's super rare and the Miranda was so much more common. I'm looking for those DS9 style Dominion War fleets.
Yes you can use multiple of them, though unless you create your own civs they won't pop up being used by the AI (unless ya seek to use that one mod I believe? Can't remember its name)
You can believe or not, but he hasn't rebuilt every model he lists, he's converted the STO obj files to STL so they're suitable for being 3D printed.
There's a reason why we make our own versions of STO designs. :)
The STO designs we use in STNC take a fairly long time to make because we have to model and texture them ourselves.
The first slot will control the model used.
Post a screen, I guess, as I'm not sure what you're saying isn't working.
