This is true for quite a lot of creatures in Barotrauma, which tend to drop little to nothing of value. They aren't supposed to be something you grind for resources. You are meant to either run away or fight for your life. Your reward for defeating them is living to fight another day.

Funny thats coming from a barotraumatic developer.
If basically everything can be husked that makes husks less special. look at improved husks for example. that shit sucks ass because it makes the husks generic zombies that your gaurunteed to encounter 24/7
