I found and error in 00_hornblower_eng_techs file

Klingons could not research torps because the fed torp is listed as the prerequisite.

For all klingon torps:

Change: prerequisites = { tech_torpedo_X }

To: prerequisites = { tech_klingon_torpedo_X }

I agree, its disappointing they didn't put this in the base game before release. According to notes in the mod files they plan on adding them so this mod will be obsolete someday i think.

With regards to debris weapons will show up as researched yeah, or re-searchable. However since say Klingon disruptors aren't available to the feds etc, you will be prevented from having them even if the debris says its available. Will likely be from this mod yes.

Great mod, its really something that should've been done by the developers and not left up to modders, but you've done a really great job none the less. I do have a question - after battle when you can scan the debris for research will these scanned weapons show up as researchable? Doesn't appear so on my end, but I'm running a few mods, so I'm trying to narrow it down. Thanks!

Yeah, indeed. Looks better now with actual disruptors but I think for those and the defiant phaser cannons dual firing would really help the cinematic effect.

i can see the new screenshot with the disruptor cannons on the bop. and it looking pretty cool. i think you can see why it needs to be dual shot firing, to match the way it looks on the show and the firing hardpoints.

i predict this mod will be one of the best. other great mods are the canon maps, and additional ships. but all of that takes 2nd place to the correct weapons visuals which is, for most people, the most immersive aspect of a game like this.

Thank you @steve, well if the cloaking device is causing issues please don't include it because then it will break the battles. You should wait until the devs solve the issue.

I took cloak out from starting techs as i noticed cloaked ships weren't able to attack. I will re-add it, but you may experience the same issue as think its in the base game.

This will be because the new Orleans mod is trying to use a design utilising big bomb aka plasma charge. I will re-add plasma charge as a starting tech so it doesn't cause this crash.

Hello, thank you for the mod. Have a quesion, does this mod work work with ship mods? for example, I loaded the game with the New Orleans ship mod, and with this mod and when I tried to design a new orleans class ship it crashes. Pretty much does it with all the ship mods. Is anyone else having this issue?

I only have one issue, no cloak for the Klingons? I have gone several years game time and it's not a preexisting tech, and it hasn't come up in research? Do I need to steal it from the Romulans?

Should be able to make phaser cannons for defiant relatively easily so will add that to the list. Will look into dual firing visual after the weapons are sorted for each.

how cow. this is exactly what is needed. may i request you add a federation version of cannons for use on a defiant. and if possible can you make them all dual cannon visuals for all factions. as they would better fit the ships canon firing.
