it happens because the sensor does not activate the landinggear in time.. if it would activate the downwards movement would stop and the next step would start......

but as i said im at a standstill in this project until rotors are fixed.. then i should be able to fix it.

:)

my only problem is that the foot does not always clear the floor which destroys the L.G.s and the floor itself if you could make the leg lift more when taking a step that would be the end of that little hiccup
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2014 kl. 7:31
thx. i realy hope to perfect the system once the rotors work again. :)
The Erubian Warlord 14. dec. 2014 kl. 4:40
sweet mechas i just tested it walking is intutitive and you can still walk after being hit by a small ship
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2014 kl. 5:56
i do believe it has shoulder turrets....

also im still having some issues with rotors. (seems to be bugged) so further development in this series is at a stand still.

just thought. thepilot is going to die in a few days. blows up everyone and everything before he dies or at least he is tempted to :)
zachiyo123 30. nov. 2014 kl. 18:05
should put turrets on the shoulders for practical and partically asthletic reasons
xSONOHx 22. nov. 2014 kl. 18:04
Makes me think of something from Supreme Commander.
Houmann 15. sep. 2014 kl. 16:43
Damn!!! O.O
Simply beautyfull.
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 14. sep. 2014 kl. 6:39
so. i managed to walk 2x the original speed.. and im very close to having it at 4 times speed. but the timer block seems bugged - so i have uploaded a the world file and submitted a bug report for the devs to look at.. hopefully it will soon get fixed. :)

if it does these guys can soon run instead of just walk :)

i also managed to stabelise them a great deal. so they should now always keep the orientation and not flip over when turning to fast.

# Adventure slug - i will not change the map till i have an update ready for it, and i'm afraid uploading a seccond one might confuse things... BUT! - with copy paste enabled you can easily do it your self.. simply load up the map ctrl +c the object you want to copy - then load up a new map with the settings you like best. i sugest the empty world( copy paste enabled) and hit ctrl+v to paste :)
Or - get se toolbox and delete the asteroid. - another quick fix to your lag could be to either kill all lights on the station or locate the atmosphere box and delete it. ( its located undeneath the station

hope this was of some use to you :)
Strider_Killer 13. sep. 2014 kl. 17:49
Could we have ACs and some ACUs please XD?
Crack "The Rock" Johnson 13. sep. 2014 kl. 16:13
can you make a map that has only the new one and not the station and 4 other older ons it lags my game
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2014 kl. 4:22
#Joseph51494 - i belive that the frequent stops are due to the sensor is still a little bugged when detecting stations. i belive i have a workaround for it and it will be in the next upload. - but try to increase the range of the sensors till then as im not currently at home :
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2014 kl. 4:19
thx. i used it to stabelise the walking. though it has both pros and cons. :)
Kazno 13. sep. 2014 kl. 3:39
Maybe it's silly, but I love the way you used the Artificial Mass in the "pelvis" to simulate how a person would walk. Probably has a practical meaning as well, since they seem wobbly sometimes. Gread work, overall!
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2014 kl. 2:03
also pls. feel free to come with some ideas of what you think i could and should add to the current models or even how the next model should be.. large or small ship blocks - function and so on.
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 13. sep. 2014 kl. 1:43
#Joseph51494 - im not sure i understand what youre saying?

#Phoenix - when im able to i'll upload some screens that describe how to make it walk and what the different hotkeys are for. :) but if you copy paste one out just make sure that the mass blocks on the front leg is on and that the piston on the front leg is extended. then hit 9 to turn the sensors on. and it should work.

#Tobisan - Thx :)

#Adventure slug - they should be able to fly - mass block off - thrusters on. i'm also working on a locking system that will make them more steady when flying.

#Mason - not sure i know the metal gear you're talking about?
[TSF] Mason 1290 12. sep. 2014 kl. 22:54
lol... Metal... Gear?
Crack "The Rock" Johnson 12. sep. 2014 kl. 21:35
this remindes me of persific rim and i plan on making some changes so one flys and one walks and a sytem to change that
tobyman59 12. sep. 2014 kl. 15:27
Like the music your creation is just brillant
SuspiciousCheese 12. sep. 2014 kl. 10:00
how do I make it go?
Joseph Sneed 12. sep. 2014 kl. 9:27
Personally I think timer blocks should also help with turning. The detection range isn’t very good when you turn and you get frequent stoppages.
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2014 kl. 7:37
found great use of the timer block.. hope to have them running at more than twice the current speed at the end of the weekend :)
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. 2014 kl. 5:10
yes. alot of issues should have been solved with the latest patch. :) like detecting the station it walks on ;)

my next goal is to make it faster and better responding - got a few ideas :)
Joseph Sneed 11. sep. 2014 kl. 17:04
Was just trying this out nice work. You might want to try using the new timer blocks in your next build to make turning easier.
Loki 11. sep. 2014 kl. 11:26
Lovely work :)
I'm building a small ship auto walker and am nearly finished. Can't wait to compare with this to see how you overcame the various issues that arise.
Yaddah 11. sep. 2014 kl. 8:14
Wow dude! As a fan of the mechwarrior series I just have to love this! Great work!
Drakaul 10. sep. 2014 kl. 23:45

i got it in in the Legatus five soon comming your way ;)
DeRavi 8. sep. 2014 kl. 14:56
is torso twisting a possibility?
HyggeDane  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2014 kl. 14:53
i tried it out on a flat asteroid surface and it seems to work just fine.. though a bit wobbely till it gets up to speed :)
DeRavi 8. sep. 2014 kl. 14:48
yup a real battelemech feel, can't wait to see how this develops. I may take this to the jungle or martian planets and see how th walking is affected
Grizzly 8. sep. 2014 kl. 11:24
Really nicely done!
