Considering there's like only really one current good counter strike styled model replacement for the desert rifle (Tyler Strike I believe is the only one to of tried it), have you considered doing one yourself? The only weapon I could think of that would fit as a replacement for the desert rifle (along with cs:s style animations) is the Famas F1.

man the reload animation would go great with the default rifle

l4d1 had sounds for silenced weapons so this makes sense

Looks weird with the way how l4d1 style weapons are holded weirdly judging by left hand, still nice though
