this is a stretch but is it possible to make the shields closer to the hull, mod is great just larger ship sometimes get inside each others shields and it looks weird.

Do you user other mods? Try to use this modxas the last one. Maybe the necessary file is overwritten by another mod?

Tried it again with a new game to see if that does anything but still no battle chatter unfortunately

I got into my first battle with this mod, Federation fighting the Borg. During the whole battle there was no battle chatter at all.

I released a new update which prevent ships from despawning after there death.

@Altor, i can see what you want but i am not a gfx person so i cant change that effects. also i want to, cause for compatibility i want to change only the ships handling, nothing more, so the system dont interfere to much with other mods.

just got the game and mods have certainly made it more enjoyable if they ever do dlc they should hire you!, certianly make the battles look more trek

You will make this game more enjoyable. Beams should be also thinner and the torpedoes also smaller to make it more realistic and cinematic too. I subscribed and will wait for updates. Thank you very much.

Hi Altor, i will check that out. I can change thet no problem, but during my initial testing on maneuvers, it happens a lot, that the ship was not able to face there weapons to the enemy. I will give it a deeper look later on.

Currently i work on an update that destroyed ships stays on the map until the map was reload (going to galaxy map and go back to the system) so we get some nice ship graveyards after a huge battle. Seeing all the dead spacehulks floating around make battles much more meaningfull in my eyes.

Thank you very much for this mod. Was looking exactly for such a one. Reducing the speed is very nice but they still turn too fast which makes the move of ships again unrealistic. Can you also reduce the turn-speed?

i made a huge change on ships speed in generall. They now fly a lot slower. not only the miranda but all ships have now ca 50% Speed. Make battles a lot more watchable on 1x speed and also it feels more like DS9, cause Shipbattles are now really devastating.

Thanks for taking a look at it! if anything, just fix the miranda's speed and that would be a win. LOL she looks like a blimey fighter!

The currently behavior is that the ships try to follow the target and get them in there front arc. When the enemy came to close, they switch into the orbit mode and tryy to get some distance. For mee that looks a little bit like doing attack pattern on the enemy and switch gto evasive maneuvering when they get chased.

I will look what i can do for the miranda class. CHanging the behvaidfiour back to orbit could work on bigger mixxed fleets but could create problems at the early game when you only have mriandas avaible. but lowering there speed should work.

Hi weregobbie, i will take a look on it.

On the first try i set all ships to orbit in the hope it looks like in Star Trek Armada 1. Sadly it looks more weird cause when youe have one single ship like a borg cube or the big pirate ships, then it looks weird that all ships just circle the enemy. Also most weapon slots seems to have a firing arc to the front or the rear. Cause of this a lot of ships on a narrow orbit was not able to fire at the enemy.

I always thought that several of the ships shouldnt be dogfighty. Any chance you can update this mod to have ship tier 1 ships to be half (or a 1/3rd ) as fast? and make the miranda move more like the intrepid.

Ships like the Brel with klingons, Defiant with federation, Hediki with cardassians, and the romulan BOP should definitely be maneuverable, but the miranda has always looked slower and less maneuverable.
