@bacorjohnray , only one of them is required. If you already have "Custom Weapon Base", you don't need the alternative one.

Is it possible to made a version that replaces the chainsaw? Since it also have limited fuel after all (and might be possible to work with any mods that modify the chansaw's fuel).

@BabyKatNao , I just updated this mod with a new cfg file. Now you can freely set the max fuel without having to edit the vscript in the vpk file.

@BabyKatNao , there's something like "fuel" in the script. You can try to search "fuel" if you want to manually edit it. Btw, probably I could add a cfg file later so people can freely modify the fuel without having to edit the vpk file.

Nice mod but I'm finding flamethrower too frequent and feels like never running out of ammo. Can you reduce the flamethrower ammo to 50? I couldn't find a way to edit it myself. Thanks

@Hoodlum_MillS , it isn't removed. It's just only not visible because the fuel is more than the original flamethrower. Once the fuel goes down below the original fuel, it will show up.

after many tries i give up, everything ive tried to swap the models only breaks the game entirely. Please could you make an Altered version of this addon to use grenade launcher as its model, would greatly apreachiate <3

alright, i spent time finding the model direction and to replace the references to flamethrower model and everything, and now after i loaded it all that happened is that the custom model is still there, no grenade launcher to be seen and the flame no longer appears anywhere and is effective to only about a meter so acts as melee weapon, im very lost in addon editing

@Narco , you don't need to remove the models. You only need to replace the texts that refer to the model (for example: "models/flamethower.mdl" or something like that). Replace those texts with the models you want, but you need to write the correct location of the weapon model (you can take a look at weapon script like "weapon_grenade_launcher.txt" & copy the location of the model like "models/....../weaponmodel.mdl").

alright let me make clear that it was my first time using vpk decompiling, all i could do is remove material, model files, and remnants of all "flamethrower.mdl" references in all the codes, i cant really do much in that, and after watching youtube tutorials for nearly 4 hours i still couldnt achieve it, all i attempted is for the survivors to at least have empty hands but it was not as simple as that, soo if you would be so kind and make a request id be very greatfull <3

@Narco , if you can decompile & modify, you can try to change the weapon model with the existing weapon. The model you need to change exists in the vscript files in "vscripts" folder & melee script file in "melee" folder. If you decompile this vpk, you'll find the files soon.

About the weird looks thats accounted for, alot of ungodly things can be seen on local servers these days, im proposing maybe a grenade launcher with its tip on fire, i personally attempted to decompile the addon and modify it myself as not to bother anyone, but im completely lost in it, everything's just errors

@Narco , it's possible but there's no asset in L4D2 to replace flamethrower. I can replace it with other gun model like m60, but it will look weird & funny, like m60 throwing fire instead of bullets.

Could you make a version that dosent use custom content for others to be able to play on local server and not have floating errors, i would greatly aprechiate, otherwise great modification <3
