It might, it might not. The mod's description mentions that it was legit designed to be played with VNR, (though not a hard requirement) and PHE itself is a VNR submod. (Again, not a hard requirement) Best thing to do is playtest them together and find out.

I've never heard of it before, though. I think it looks awesome, and not just because I'm an American.

Could you look into any conflicts with the USA rework mod? could've been that mod but the 1944 election got bugged where Mac was changed possibly making the event to select the candidate to be bugged, I was using this mod and VNR while at war with japan

@Space Marine I tried but i don't think VM's February 26th Incident focus is compatible with the 18th february incient mechanics of this mod, even Crypticis said this isn't really compatible. Yeah me too I would have liked to play both.

@Pax I was actually just thinking that. Britain has a prewar prep similar to the US's in which they have to form Task Force Z, and send three destroyers, a battleship, and a battlecruiser (Doesn't necessarily have to be Prince of Wales and Repulse respectively) to reinforce their naval presence at Singapore. And then, three days after the Pearl Harbor event screen, Britain loses the battleship and battlecruiser.

Could you potentially add a British- Japanese war event line?

Getting ready to try out Kaiserreich for the first time. I'm assuming this mod is redundant there?

I would like to make this mod even better, and I have a suggestion.
I think "Ode of Showa Restoration(昭和維新の歌)" would be perfect for the 226 Incident.
The Kodo-ha officers who caused the 226 Incident were a "rebel army," so a song by the "Imperial Army" 'Miya-san Miya-san' isn't very appropriate.

i agree with zanni a bit: i think it'd be cool if the isolationist events had flavor. not on like TNO-levels of flavor but maybe unique events like how kaiserreich does it?

it's intentional. before Pearl Harbor, the isolationism movement had a very strong influence in American society, new deal had always been under criticism that it was too "socialist" or even "communist"

a little feedback: the same generic events about stuff like strike breaking and pacifist marches coming up repeatedly as the usa kind of kills the immersion for me. would definitely appreciate either more flavourful events or generic events like this being able to be turned off. really just feels like im being asked to hit a button to change some numbers over and over in a way thats not interesting.

Well, here's a thing. My suspicion that a music mod I had installed was breaking the songs added by this was correct.

For some reason, the 'German Music Overhaul' by Anno3001 breaks the songs added by this mod.

Has anyone had any issues with the songs added by this not playing? I suspect the cause might be having other music mods enabled.

I have a few music mods (one for American Music, another for German Music, and one for Sabaton) and the songs from this appear to be completely missing from the radio list. And, when the shuffler tries to play them, it displays the file name rather than the song name, and displays the song length as 0:00.

Played this on Pearl Harbor Day, very interesting mod, enjoyed it a lot!

This looks very cool, can't wait to try it out. Since Paradox doesn't bother looking at Historical games, it's always nice to see such an effort in the workshop

Yeah you are right, my bad for the confusion and for taking up your time. I realized I was using a different mod called 'All Bonuses Super Japan Focus Tree,' which merges all focus trees into one. I believe this makes it incompatible, because the political tree starts with 'Support the Kodoha Faction,' which I think removes the Nippon Naikaku decisions. Since the other mod progressed to the war with China still, I assumed it would still work. But obviously that wasn't the case. When I reviewed your mod on its own, I expected to find the escalate decision in the usual vanilla location but didn't see it, so I initially thought it might be a bug. Turns out everything on your end is working fine and the issue was on my side. Thanks again, and sorry for the mix up!

escalate war effort doesnt show up in decisions. it bypasses secure china once marco is done so you have war with china nerfs but you can also do ichi go. its weird

Does this mess with marco polo bridge? everytime i go down that route it bypasses secure china and i can never escalate the war effort so the debuffs stay

make sure you are playing on historical mode, the event chain starts in late 1940
if you have other mods, disable all of them unless you know which may cause conflict
