Just bought By Blood Alone and No Step Back, trying out Japan. I'll give this a try and the heavy fighters maybe too. I'm no WW2 plane expert but it would've been nice if PDX would have had the foresight to make this mod unnecessary!

No, unfortunately not. However, I did incorporate both mods into my "Improved Air Designer" mod just uploaded on Steam.

The mod doesn't seem to work with Kaiserredux, unfortunately. Does that mod change either of the .txt files mentioned in the description?

Apparently you DO need blueprint backgrounds for the game to recognize it for the designer (say what?), but ok. So I updated it. It should work now.

So, I have BBA.
I am able to make Medium NAV's. However, if i want to modify the plane afterwards, it just gives me the old equipment designer.
