Maybe I'll test it. It's not that it protects from acid, but it counts as footwear in the boot equip slot - which should protect from "walking damage" on acidic terrain, such as the Deadlands.

Just a thought - for the player and for the visual (I believe they count as footwear), maybe create a variant that has shoes or wooden sandals. Kinda funny looking if you're running through the Deadlands and not taking leg damage.

blueprints don't require a tech table right?

i don't really know what that means, I think it's a blueprint, and I'm not really that good at the game to understand the research stuff. Sometimes there's like 50 of the same thing and sometimes it's one entry that unlocks everyhing. Just try some stores and get the blueprint
