Add an option in the Sandbox settings to create visual effects in contaminated areas:
Toxic zones: the closer the player is to the center (epicenter) of the contamination, the denser a green fog becomes, gradually fading until it’s almost imperceptible at the edges of the contaminated area.
Radiation zones: as the player approaches the epicenter, small glowing particles start to appear — similar to fireflies or flickering pixels — becoming more intense near the center and almost disappearing at the outer edges.
Finally, it would be great to include an option that allows any player to see contaminated areas directly on the regular map, if the admin chooses to enable this feature — without needing the military map.
When the option “Use random points from the list” is enabled, the game would randomly select only from the locations defined by the admin.
For example, if I want contamination to happen only in military zones, I can add those points to the list.
This way, the random system stays limited to specific areas, preventing contamination in cities or player respawn zones.
The players will recover from a cold, only to have it develop yet again a minute or so later. If there's something I'm missing here on information, I'd love to know. <3
When I tried to remove it after it glitched out & added a permanent zone at max sickness that I couldn't remove, it destroyed the entire save.
The third strike was after getting home, my friend was just simply sick again. Blood test showed it was from RAD even though we did everything we could to prevent from getting sickness. Hazmat Suit + Oyxgen Tank and Tablets for extra protection.
Sadly I'll be removing this mad, I simply just can't spend another 7 hours trying to treat RAD sickness. My Suggestion? Have some sort of visual indicator when entering a RAD zone. The spores mod does it so perfectly.
My first gripe started with a friend and I accidentally driving into a heavily radiated zone, the counter we were using didn't even tell us until we were already deep in it, we immediately turned around and went home. Popped every medicine we could for RAD and spent literally 4-5 days with 50%+ sickness, coughing, sneezing, random pains and heavy bleeding. After the first day, I literally stopped taking off my bandages due to the random bleeding. Then since it was so early in the game, none of us had medical to do blood tests to check our levels. Spent maybe an entire week in game trying to restore from RAD sickness.
the detector doesn't detect anything until you enter a 'high' zone, so it's kinda pointless no? I'm sat inside a zone 2 tiles away from this abritrary point and I'm dying with no warning with the beter meter
