Just too many conflicts and things not working. Need a functional mod order list or something but until then not usable. Tyranids can recruit guardsmen and servitor soldiers, leader portraits show up in pre game setup but not after game starts.

The mod is very cool, but it lacks new faction leaders such as Vashtor Arkifane, Anacharia Scoria and Kelbor Hal from the dark mechanicum. The Black Shields lack a leader like Endrid Haar and so on. The Mechanicum is also missing Belisarius Cole. I hope that the mod's author will add new leaderboard icons to his mod soon.

for whatever reason the species used as the raiders factioons dont have portraits... tested with only this and the original mod installed

I'm having the Adeptus Mechanicus faction start with a district that produces gas, then a few moments later the district is removed and they suffer a gas deficit, is this intended?

currently necrons cannot be played with them being slightly also necroid wondering if you can separate the two into just having a copy of both but classified as either or?

This patch does not work for 3.12, but probably next week I can upload a new patch for 3.12.

Does this comp patch still work? I notice very few of the factions have custom portraits. And depending on the specific cocktail of recommended mods with no default empires, I only get the Orks to appear in the factions list. They have their custom portrait unlike the Orks without the no default empires mod.

So I tried to setup the Death Guard as a custom empire and in order to play with the civics Nurgle Cult and XIV Legion I need to have the Chaos Warband Authority selected. However if you want to play with the Shroud Sick origin which guarantees a "infected World" which would fit more with the current Death Guard for RP elements you cannot because Shroud Sick requires Imperial Authority to even work. In short for RP elements of the Origins Shroud Sinners and Shroud Sick. They need to include Chaos Warband Authority as one of the: One must be True. either that or the civics Nurgle and Slaneesh Cult and III and XIV Legion need to have Imperial under One must be true for the Authority types. Hope this is the right place to put this love the patch.

Some help for the generation probleme is coming : ) but it s working to 30/34 factions.

you just need to remove every paradox or old empire you have made ( Note if you change to another mod like star trek every empire you have made with grimdark will be lost , so don t loose your time making new ones and just save the w40K and force them spawning , they are balance even if some of them won t go to the end game/ no diplo/hyve/etc..) and use some mod to "control" the generation process of the map. Wich is different on every PC / different settings / map size / cpu capacity

to maximise put the most you can on random origin (system) in the name part
i don t recommand to change the origin and stuff Empire you don t play but you can.

I ran into the same problem JC_Von_Preussen, I found that if you make each factions starting system and put it to "random" then they all should spawn. Hope this helps

Hello there. I really love your efforts. Unfortunately, I'm not able to find a way to force spawn the WH40K empires. I have the no-vanilla empires mod on, I went into both this mod here and the parent one to force faction randomize = no instead of yes. I did create a copy of the Adeptus Mechanicus and activated it to force spawn. Yet, only random vanilla empires appear to spawn after /observe. This bring me to the part of your advice. What exact files do I need to copy and where to paste them ? I've read the part about game data path which is hyperlinked to the wiki, but I don't understand what's that supposed to mean. I would really appreciate some help. Thx

@FirePrince: i tried said theory and unfortunately i can only apply the space marine trait to the portraits under the space marine race itseld, only consisting of the 40k portraits, none of the 30k space marine legions. if theres anything i am missing or misunderstanding feel free to let me know. thx :)

hello, love the path! wanted to ask if there is a way to have some of the 30k/40k space marine portraits in the humanoid section placed in the space marine race section. unable to use the space marine trait on those cause of said species difference. wanted to ask if thats possible, if not no worries.

another couple of issues that i found are for the adeptus mechanicus (maybe my game is the one broken at this point XD) but if i try to use the origin for mechanicus you get 2 imperial hive world at the start instead of 1 and you do not get the cybernetic agenda at the start (in grimdark should be 4/5 if i ain't wrong) causing double penalties for being cyborg against any spiritualist

the eldars faction starts are a bit broken if you take the soul keeper origin with the precrafted races (macha etc). you start in a habitat that has normal district and after a month all of the district vanish because you do not have the habitat tech. if you edit one of the race this dosen't happen but you still do not get psionic theory (but i think that is a grimdark mistake)

@psychotrip: I'll make them not autospawn next update. You could also try to turn off this mod (probably just minor issues and the fixes for the W30/40K mod are missing then).

Love the mod! How do I make it so the default 40k empires dont show up? I made custom versions of each faction, but I can't turn off the defaults.
