I've been fiddling around with Love2D for the past few weeks, so the hope is that I can eventually make a standalone version of the mod and upload it to Itch or something. No promises on when that's going to happen, but it's definitely on my to-do list!
I sincerely hope you get to make this into more than just a MOD!
- Added 16 new specials (bringing the grand total to 32!).
- Added special types of pearls that can appear on the board (fire, lightning, etc.)
- Modularized the special effects a bit more. This makes it easier to implement new effects.
- Implemented a temp. effects system below the level count.
- Added a Ko-fi incentive! (hence the update name :p)
About that incentive: it exists now! Every tip (regardless of size) adds 1 to the number of specials that I'm obligated to put into the mod. Maybe this blows up in my face and I have to add 100+ specials, but that's my burden to bear if it happens.
If you tip $5.00 or more, you can specify a name with which I can credit you, as well as the name, effect, and flavor text of a special pearl. I'll implement it into the game under your name! Just keep it SFW, non-inflammatory, decent, etc. I'm sure you get the gist of how commissions work, and that's basically what these are.
Hope you enjoy!

That being said, this is v1.1!
Additions:
- Added an options menu! (Wow! Cool!)
- Added a colorblind accessibility mode enabled through the options menu (seems fitting for a PopCap tribute)
- Added an option for a custom cursor! (The early 2000s called, and they want their cursor design back)
- Added an option for hardware acceleration (which does literally nothing, but it felt wrong to not include it)
- Improved the visual effect when selecting a gem (added a pulsing effect, and increases the contrast on the selected gem)
- General optimizations and bugfixes
Enjoy!
