@Shadow sorry I hadn't updated the mod to the latest game version before today, unfortunately life events prevented it.

Mods like this are out of date, and a Yellow Marker that looks like this ⚠️ shows up indicating an "⚠️Incorrect Version"

Do what Mod Authors should've done.

Go to were the Mods are installed. Typically in Documents>Paradox Interactive>Infinite>mod

Look for the last 4 digits of said Mod (it's easier this way).
Right Click it.
Open it with Notepad.
Change the Supported Version# to 1.0.* - the (*) means this Mod will support all 1.0.0 through 1.0.9 versions until we get to 1.2.0.

Once you've done this, save it. Overwrite if asked.
Now Right Click on the Mod again.
Select Properties.
Select Read Only on the bottom.
Click OK. The will stop Paradox from overwriting your input.

@kalliasto911 when I've learned how to 3d model properly then I'll try. I'm a coder, not a gfx guy.

We need better Akira model.

@pumpkindude86, there still is some commented out code relating to strike craft in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Infinite\common\component_templates not sure if any of it is still functional but might be worth playing around with to see if it is functional

Hey Pumpkin, is there any chance you can:
1. slightly lighten the akira
and
2. fix the construction zoom issue with it? (these arent huge things, just slight cosmetic quips)

i'd love if you would go ahead and buff the Akira.

I think the weapons could be:
1 Large, 2 Medium, 2 Small

Auxillary:
4 Medium, 2 Auxillary

I think this would make it strong but not too strong. Then make it cost slightly less than the Galaxy.

Actually this was address in the Discord by the devs, basically the decision to keep it to only a few ships was that this is a game about managing an empire rather than fleets/ships and readability. I think if (hopefully when) we get DLC for this there will be more ships added. If we do get dlc I'd like to see the Akira added by the devs to be used as it was originally envisioned - a carrier. I'd love to see some runabouts and attack fighters in the game.

It's kinda wild to think about how few ships came with the game really, I wonder if DLC/Updates will add more, maybe they can strike a deal with STO or some of the old Armada or Legacy ships

Oh yeah, you're totally right Azurewrath. To explain, I hadn't actually intended to release this, I lifted this out of the Renaissance mod for personal use and it's only because I've seen several people ask for it that I decided to release it. I'll probably come back and do another pass at this when I've finished with the science ships mod and move it closer to canon, especially seeing as my fellow modders are doing an excellent job of introducing more variety in the early game ufop ships.

I would agree with Azure, the Akira was designed alongside the Defiant and Steamrunner to be an anti-Borg ship. Personally I'd have it Above the Excelsior

Great job! Thank you for this, though in actuality the Akira is stronger than the Excelsior. It is larger than you might think and it is much newer. I would balance it between the Excelsior and the Galaxy.
