If used on surface-flat ground targets aka planet, they do not work as intendet, but it can somewhat attack air targets above if they are not to low to ground

But for me they don't work when I launch them on planet Earth (starting planet), instead of attacking enemy, they just crash on ground.
Also I see I am not the only one with drone problem, so definetely something is wrong with them.

I just can't make drones to work - they just flying randomly and crash to ground doing nothing against targeted enemy.

Coilguns?, that what they are, stationary "brick gun" that shot heavy rounds, usualy mounted at forward

Drones works as follows : have agressive target (red), and just press "shoot" option they will auto lock viable target, its almost exact how missile works, mechanic wise.

How do the drones work?
Because even with an enemy ship nearby, they don't attack.
What do I need to configure for that? Or what actually triggers the drones?

have someone else a sound bug problem? I dont know if comes with this mod or with weapon core cuz when I build a GT-100-M Vulcan PDC turret or a laser turret after couple of time they dont shoot but I hear the shooting sound. When an enemy come near they shoot as they should be but the sound bug is still there. Only if I restart my game btw. rejoin my server the sound is gone :( have u any fix for this?

All Weapons are considered "Energy" ammo, not "Physical" ammo at the moment. All u need is Reactor for them to function.

Weapons are considered "Energy" ammo, not "Physical" ammo at the moment. All u need is Reactor for them to function.

Drones itself can not be made as they are considered "Energy" ammo, not "Physical" ammo and at the moment its not priority to make ammos into physical ones, so all ammo is considered "Energy" as stated in description, u need only reactor, so weapons can work, as u dont need to reload physical ammo into weapons itself. Tho It is planed at some point to make all ammo "physical" along the line, but not right now.

Work very similar as it works in EvEOnline; its basically alien tech, very powerful laser with AoE on impact point

Thank you, that actually helps a ton since I have not gotten around yet to setting up an inventory manager script to keep ammo in stock.I really like your mod, these weapons are very helpful for my play style. And the extended range helps a ton too.

Turrets like Gatling have multiple choices of ammo type, tho they are still considered as "energy", and dont have physical entity object which can be spawned.

They all use WeaponCore "Energy" ammo for now, so all u need is just reactor, to provide power, nothing else

Do you have a guide or other documentation on the weapons and what ammo they each use? Trying to spawn ammo has been a trial and error deal for me.

Technically Ash version of WC is the same as DarkStar, it just changed owner

As far i know u can use both WC version atm, older one will override newer one which will kinda allow "old" mods to work until they are converted to new WC dependency

Is it trivial to change this mod locally to the old WC dependency? Most mods aren't being updated fast enough to warrant switching to Ash's version yet.

For some mods it will need a few days as it require a Author of mod to change dependency to New WC version so mods work properly

for all mods that use old WC u need to UNsubscribe, remove them from mod list (so its clear list if u want to keep current world) than when u removed, save that world, exit game, Subscribe again to all mods that u want to use, enter game list them again, waith for them to redownload again and play
