@Doppelsöldner is it because it's a titan class and it requires the extra starbase building to build? Somewhere under the construction bits there will be a line about requires starbase building titan something or other.

I've not tried to do anything with the sovereign class. Are you in the infinite discord? Hit me up in the modding channel and if you want I'll take a look at what you've done, see if I can see why it's not cooperating?

@pumpkindude86 looking forward to see your take! I've also tried to add the Sovereign Class as LRSV variant, but the game always crashes if I want to select the Sovereign LRSV Class and I can't figure out why. x)

I know weregobbie, once you get the first size increase you can add them. It was not a great solution lol

So, just letting you know that you can indeed add them to a fleet even with a 20 ship cost. it just for some reason requires you to update the fleet sizes

Doppelsoldner funnily enough I have already done a Galaxy class along with the corvette, destroyer and battleship classes for all of the major powers in an expanded version of this mod which adds a tech to research to enable the "long range survey refit" of each of the ships. I'm just doing some final testing on it before I upload it. I'm really glad that you have enjoyed it though and even more so that it inspired you to dig into the files and expand it.

Looking forward to you expanding this to more ship classes, almost every ship class in starfleet could do exploration/survey missions(Excelsior,Galaxy,Ambassador etc.), yes there are some exceptions F.E. Defiant class(it's a warship after all).

weregobbie - I'm not sure how to allow them to be in fleets of just themselves but allowing that breaks the survey ability. I think I've got a solution that I'm testing so hopefully soon I'll be able to update.

I re-read and i removed my previous comment.

Ideas:
leave them as individual ships (annoying but just like hero ship enterprise)
or
allow them to be in fleets but only fleets of themselves (like when a pirate fleet joins the faction, you can't add your ships to it unless it is the same model.)

Interesting Idea. Starfleet had many more science vessels. I would love to see the Nova class as a more advanced science vessel to the Oberth.
