Basically a request for the ConTracker's tiers being freely selectable as styles (as long as the player has achieved the needed tier beforehand), in a similar manner that the Treasure Hat and HOUWAR does already.
Meaning that if someone has a Silver ConTracker, they can select the Silver, Bronze or Gravel look as styles, but can't use the Australium look yet, until they actually achieve that tier's necessary points that is required for an Australium tier.
You separated them with different submissions, so maybe if Valve were to add this, they would implement as styles? The Treasure Hunt hats (Bounty Hat, Treasure Hat and HOUWAR) let you change styles depending on their tiers (you can go back up to 2 past tiers if you have the HOUWAR, but not the reverse), and I think Valve should do that as well for the Contracker.
I'm more into the default tier here, as the bowtie is team-colored, and I just really like how it looks, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the concept as a whole. Though, as far tiers go, it's fine too, we just need for Valve to add a style selector for the Contracker and this, if it gets added.
Really well thought out idea here, good work!
Again thanks for your feedback!
I'm all for "Action slot" items that feel more like a cosmetic, like the Duck Journal. Heck, I even used the Power Up Canteen and Fancy Spellbook items as cosmetics a few years ago, but having this with the Contracker animation may be a little too much...
With some classes, the idle stance they stay actually fit (Sniper especially)... while with others, well, not very much (Engineer is just looking as if it was a screen, if you catch my drift).
Of course you can't really make new animations for it, but I just find... an okay item. It's fine. Not really into how it uses the Contracker animation, though. Would be fine if it's just an Action item that stays on the classes' belt.
