If your comment was made more generally about the issue of workshop maps only being considered for inclusion in the in game store, that is up to HPE (and to a lesser extent Valve) and is discussed in some of the forum threads.
If you wish to complain about this issue I suggest you post on the Hidden Path forums since they do get read and responded to most days. http://forum.hiddenpath.com/
Also there is now a website for people to upload free maps to, and obviously download from. http://users17.jabry.com/DG2freemaps/
I had hoped that Alienware would allow all of the entries to be released as a free dlc pack or something but theres no sign of that happening as yet.
