@BarrenSands A temple of Andraste should be all you need to recruit the basic bowwomen. Noble Bowwomen need the level 4 temple. Are you running any other mods?

Thanks for the tip Hyperfyre. I've tested it and it should be working with the current patch now.

You need to change the unknown10 column in the land_unit_tables. It's supposed to reference the long historical description, but you can just change it to any vanilla unit. Just put "Gre_Mob_Long" or something.

For those waiting on an update for the Empire Divided patch, I'm still figuring out what I need to change to get it to funciton in the new patch. If you can't wait, rolling back to Patch 17 will work with the mod.

@darowhouse Probably there was some conflict in the units_to_exclusive_factions_permissions table. I've changed the name of that table in my mod to a unique one, so that should fix the problem.

your mod makes a Problem with rhodian slingers for Rhodos. when i Play Rhodos, i can´t recruit the slingers (rhodian slingers for rhodos came with patch 17). when i disselect your mod, so i can recruit them. hmm :(

I plan to, but it might take a little time. I want to famliarize myself with the new patch so I know what needs to be changed.

The mod should still work with the current patch if you check "Enable Out-of-Date-Mods". It is on my machine at least. Please let me know if you still can't get it to work.

Too bad we can't get celtic warriors from the movie King Arthur, if anyone's seen that, it's a fairly good reimagining of the late Roman time period and King Arthur himself.

After I build the shrine. I can have officer noble bow women. However since the last update I downloaded for this. I am no longer able to recruit the archers. :(

I appreciate the comments and no they don't offend me. Unfortunately, there are very few resources avaliable to work with for female units, perticularly armor and clothes. Other than removing the trousers, there really isn't anyway to make them less lightly armored, except to put them in Greek Chitons, which would look very out of place. And as for the bows, they are armed with longbows or at least what the game calls longbows. I can't really do any better than that.

I can add in the warpaint, at least on their faces. It should visible when I update the mod for the Emperor Edition, which should be soon.

but could you make a proper iceni female archer unit ... blue paint . skirmish unit ... fire arrows and normal .... less heavy armour looking clothes ... they would have been lighty clothed for fast forest movement . with longbows .... not short bows .... although its nice to have a female archer unit ... i dont think they would look so heavy clothed they almost look like medievil archers ...

i hope this suggestion doesnt uppset or offend you bud . its not ment to . and i do understand that making units and mods is very hard work .. well it is for me i have tried and failed every time i just cant get my head around it ...

I think I've decided, given how massive the overhauls of Emperor Edition are to everything in the game, I'm going to hold off on any balancing until after the update, which would probably render all my changes obselete anyway.

does sound alright, just sayin people barely upgrade shrines lol i just created a mod which allows iceni hex bearers, cimbri archers and spearwomen for iceni, and i made em recruitable from the main buildings

I gave the original Bow-Women to the Shrine mostly just because Cimbri Bow-Women are recruited from the Shrine of Frijjo for the Suebi. After giving it some more thought, while it does make some amount of sense, it might be just a little too convenient for the factions best ranged units to be recruited from the building which massively buffs ranged units. I might switch the regular Bow-Women to the Woodworker and leave the Noble Bow-Women with the Shrine of Andraste but I'll have to play around with them first. I'm playing a campaign with them right now to see how balanced they are.

outta curiosity wouldnt the woodworker make it more appealing to others due to not many people using shrines, me and a few friends never really used em past level 2

I thought about making them a bodyguard unit but I decided their armor, health and morale weren't enough. What I might do is add a more elite, armored version that can be recruited as a bodyguard unit or from the higher level temples. Do any of the other factions have missile infantry as a bodyguard unit?
