Not everyone knows about a lot of the cool stuff we put on our roster, so just making sure, haha!

And yes it does boost the damage! If you grabbed it repeatedly it might've become weirdly strong though, lol. It's mainly designed for our own roster after all, and grabbing base cast stuff is just there for fun mostly.

I knew it was a thing with the others since I've played a lot of Starter and Matt, I even specifically picked this guy up because I enjoyed some of the other characters! But I thought I'd point it out anyways because it's MUCH harder to do on this guy and isn't really mentioned.

It's super cool when pulled off though, especially against other workshop characters with more powerful projectiles.

question though, does grabbing a projectile this way increase the projectiles damage? because the prior "absa cloud" example killed her instantly at very low percent after I juggled it around a bit

Practically all our characters with grabs can do that actually! Matt, Sol, Aria, Starter, Pauline, Villager, all 3 Toads, Morshu... Anyone who has a grab, haha.

Not every projectile is grabbable of course, but many are. It's just a cool universal feature we got in our roster, so I'm glad you enjoy it!

Jokes aside, all the skewer grab attacks have an... interesting property that means they can ALSO grab projectiles right out of the air, which is extremely cool when you pull it off (I killed an Absa with her own cloud kjsnfkjsnjfk)

If it helps, I can share a video and explain exactly what I'm doing. I'm playing with a keyboard, which might be relevant. In my experience, it seems 100% consistent as long as you don't mess up the inputs.

That sounds like a strange exploit with the grab release + drifting forward (with the method you described). Definitely not something intentional if that's the case, haha.
No idea how reliable this is if it works, but I'll look into it!

Minor issue: If you're already holding a direction when you grab someone, you don't throw them.
This means that if you can connect a single forward special, you can hold forward and spam special to repeatedly grab, release, and re-grab the opponent, dragging them kicking and screaming to the blast zone, where (depending on your exact spacing), you can either 1) throw them to their death, 2) continue to drag them all the way into the blast zone to kill both of you, or 3) push them into the blast zone without even throwing them, letting you input a back throw on their nonexistent body to get back to the stage without even having to use any recovery moves. This is very funny, but seems a bit overtuned.

Any of the Underverse Character's possibly? (Like X!Chara, Ink, Error, X!Gaster, Cross, ETC)
I am only requesting this because I am flabbergasted that nobody has made ANY Underverse Addon in either Gmod or some other game that has addon's.

It's an issue with the base game! Devs don't seem particularly interested in fixing it, though.
Best you can do as far as I know is to redownload the mod, or get more characters (supposedly getting more characters fixes the issue, or so I've heard).
I hope that helps in some way, but sadly not much else I can do to help!

Why was this not a collab with the Guilmon, a unique gimmicks to most digimon is they digivolve after building meet into a much stronger move set, we could have two versions of Guilmon one of the other becomes this.

I think utilt's spike could be a little weaker, and the dspec might deserve a couple more frames of recovery but very sick character

Also though nah the shield thing is more just how Galacta Knight FSpecial works, for Gallant its more of a standard charge, haha!

Just noticed the changes by chance while playing (seen the jump and went right to practice mode). Nice work. I'd say Gallantmon as a whole is a good example of smart frame reuse (without looking low effort) with all the shield attacks and some of the lance attacks.

Side note, him and Galacta knight make a great lancer team with Gallant's dynasmon skin and Galacta's void termina skin. Plus Galacta's AI isn't dumb enough to be useless against some of the other highly tuned workshop character AI.

I also though hits to Gallant's shield during n-special made it charge faster, but no. I think Gallantmon is the only workshop character who passively blocks projectiles like Links too. Anyway that's all.

Many throws in KoB keep the throw hitbox when throwing projectiles, although not all. Still very useful though!
It's also worth keeping in mind that outside of our own roster, the only projectiles you'll usually be able to grab are non-transcendent ones though. They have to be either marked as grabbable, or if they lack that, be non-transcendent!

@felixblobdev Understandable. The close range weakness could be seen as designed weakness since his defense and range exceeds others in most other aspects. I've seen the projectile grab before but it doesn't happen often enough so I I haven't checked if it can be used advantageously (Like the throw hitbox still being able to dmg foes) so i'll cancel that critique too.

@neurosis51 I can consider some of that! Him having a blind spot or having trouble when someone is very close could of course be considered a weakness though. But I'll see!

Also I should specify about the projectile grab thing, but that isn't a bug actually! In our roster, most grabs can grab projectiles. You can see it on Matthew, Sol, Aria, Starter, Pauline, Morshu, Villager, etc. So I'm surprised you haven't seen it before, haha!

He has an issue where his blind spot is you standing right in since all his quick attacks hit in front of him, but if you are right on him they'll miss. n-air is a get off option, but the first part doesn't hit low enough and he is a tall MFer. the only possible solution I think worth considering is changing jab 1's hit box to start on his body so opponents are pushed out. I don't want to say change d-tilt's hitbox to cover his center since that hitbox already aligns with the visual just fine.

Got a lot of playtime in with Gallantmon. The only critiques I have are changing his double jump animation to be the sane as the latter frames of his up-special animation (the spin jump half) since it looks weird with how he just does the same animation twice in quick succession with no variance and little movement.

The other thing is sometimes he'll grab projectiles with his f-special which i'm sure is not intended.

I suggest his b-air should do like 2-3 dmg more since it has way more startup and is less spamable in a combo than his fair which does the same dmg.
