the thermals for the arc9 eft weapons do this and with no impact on performance
its so painfully obvious of your lack of lua knowledge, im better of making it myself

I mean I can make the ragdoll glow, if you want to make your PC implode on itself that is. I can add that as an option though, if you ask nicely :)

Hello ! You can just have a system to give the entity to only certain poeple. As for your second question, not sure what you mean by "hotbar" ? You mean a SWEP ?

But no one said that the ones who restart game every ten minutes is the only ones to load very often, it is also a problem for the ones who change maps very often cuz yes, or the ones who loves to play multi map campaigns most of the times

Entity settings are setup as sv, and I mean unless you're restarting your game every ten minutes it shouldn't be a problem..

Hello ! Please use the bind as shown in the description : "enable_thermal_vision" or "enable_night_vision".
You have to "equip" the NVG by having pressed "E" on its corresponding entity, or you can skip this process via the option pannel

Update : server-related bug are being slowly but surely all getting fixed, finally made some progess, will continue tomorrow. Corrently working on a dev version will update on stable when finished, thanks for your understanding :D

I may be wrong, but I remember precise IR configuration in this

I was merely talking about expanding existing commands selection from "enable_night_vision" to "enable_night_vision; disable_night_vision; toggle_night_vision" which would act for every client accordingly. But you gave me an idea for yet another command like "sv_kaito_admin_only 1/0" + what you said about "oops, nods are broken" message. Plus maybe "sv_kaito_strip_nvg/thermal playername&sv_kaito_give_nvg/thermal playername" for non-Sandbox gamemodes, events, and incorporating it into a loadout by simply using these commands

Anyway, I'm happy with what you gave us already, I just really like extreme control without the need to use lua to cal for functions when same can be done with a bunch of console commands

Yep, IR Illumination controls the light's intensity, the fact that it strange how this setting work is not my fault, it's just how the engine was made. I suppose it only takes certain values/"stages" and simply won't modify above that. I think I'll add said delay, I did also recently discover a cool method that can add this kind of "transition". I'll try it (and surely add an option to control that).
And you mean to have options to outright disable usage for nightvision and/or thermalvision ? I could do something better for admin and add a function that acts like "oops, nods are broken" and play a special sound..? Idk, you tell me if you think that's an interesting idea.
I'm not sure I understand everything you're talking about though, but it seems interesting :D.

Did I mention that I love the sounds? It's one of the better optimized NVG addons now, not to mention neat customizability, all thanks to your enthusiasm
And probably my last thoughts are that there could be a delay between enabling/disabling NVGs&Thermal with fade in after taking them off, as well as brightness slowly going down after just putting them on (simulating eye adaptation). Btw, IR brightness command only works with 0, 1, 2 and so on. So there's no difference between, say, 0.1 and 0.99, therefore default value of 0.4 is actually 0 in terms of achieveable numbers, which is definitely not the "no IR at all".
P.S. And maybe if you care enough, you could add separate enable/disable nightvision (and rename the other one to "toggle"), for some extra control for the situation of making scripted scenarious with cutscenes and stuff without having to reference hooks separately

Hello there ! Cvar has been made clear in description, IR's Illumination has been reduced by a lot, added client options to control the looks of the NVGs. Please let me know if you have anything you'd like to see added or fixed.

That helped, but not much. Try walking up to a wall with NV enabled, it's still extremely blinding unfortunately... Maybe a cvar to modify intensity in real-time? Btw, what's the command to toggle NV entity bypass? The option in the spawmnenu is there, cvar however is nowhere to be found

Adding to the previous one, would love to see something like "sv_kaito_free 0/1" to use it anytime.
It's just that it's pretty great, but in some modes having to equip it manually every time is a bit of hindrance, so a little control over that would've been splendid
I also think that IR illuminator is a bit too bright, you can barely see your weapon in pitch black. That's how bright it is

It's blocked by default, but just so you know it just makes a bright blue hue
