Finally a mode perfectly matching the lore. I was always wondering why we kill only aliens, when they infiltrated our military and government, so we have the human collaborators as enemies, which we must kill also. These civilians are NOT innocent, when they actively help the advent.

@ArcticJack That's the mod that adds penalties for killing civs, right?
If so, that actually sounds perfect to go with this mod. If you really need to kill civs to complete the mission it gives you a moral choice and penalty for doing so. That way you have to gauge if it is worth it

@Spectreblitz The civilians in the cities are brainwashed and hate you. They rat you out to ADVENT if they see you. Vanilla game doesn't really punish you for blowing them up as collateral either. You can already capture or assassinate fully human civilian VIPs and collaborators. The game already frames that anyone not in the resistance is basically against you whether they know it or not and whether you like it or not.

There was a time when I never would have seriously even considered mods specifically to add friendly fire in... Then I lost a mind-controlled bondmate to my supposed "teammates" in the resistance, and suddenly I don't feel very bad for anyone.

@Claxeius It should be completely compatible with LWOTC, I donʻt know what issue it was having with your modlist in specific, but Iʻve tested it myself, and I know several people have streamed LWOTC/ModJam campaigns with this mod without issues.

Note: Not comparable with LWOTC. game keeps crashing.

Would be interesting if Civ kill counts were deducted from the supplies received at the end of the month/overview screen. Sort of a "backers frowning on the Commander's actions" vibe...

Finally a a War Crime mod for XCOM 2 only took a decade for a high profile mod.

Maybe a penalty to intel or supplies to make it a tactical choice or an outright 50-70% hit chance otherwise what's to stop the player from just going on a killing spree murdering all the civilians in sight xD
