Continuing from the last comment, I've been especially impressed with Vaporeon and Sylveon, with the fins and bows being body parts that can be lost. It's such a nice detail that those parts of their body meaningfully exist and that you can see battle-scarred PokéPeople missing some of their defining characteristics and think, "Damn, they've seen some hard times on this rotten world."

There are some races that I have in my current game that don't do that and make me strongly wish that they were done with BioTech genes instead. But not this one. BioTech genes alone can't replace what Yanzihko has done here.

Part of the benefits of these Pokémon races using HAR is that it allows Yanzihko to define various body parts that these PokéPeople have so that it matches the visuals in a way that isn't possible by simply using genes. Have you noticed that genes that change a pawn's eyes and ears don't adjust how they display with one or both of those parts missing, how it'll still look like they have both eyes or ears when they don't? By using HAR, Yanzihko can make it so that when the tail, ears, eyes, et cetera are destroyed, you can actually visually see that. Yanzihko has done a great job with this and I think it is a very good use of HAR on all of their custom race mods.

Wish they were fully biotech compatible instead of just partially so we could genetically engineer them more. One such thing I wanted to do was create xenotype hybrids between the different module types or a more vanilla style face using the VTE facial animations eye gene color based mods instead of the default eyes. Just being able to use cosmetic genes from others mods would of been neat. Sadly most of that doesn't seem to be possible due to how much this relies on on HAR instead of going all in on biotech and the HAR gene restrictions they have set. Not to mention as far as im aware the body parts for these races aren't controlled by genes at all making removing the restrictions redundant anyways since it just makes them look messed up.

For a bunch of races that were genetically modified in their lore they have less biotech compatibility then most would expect. Pretty sad all things considered
