a literal block destroying projectiles while approaching menacingly before smashing people into the ground is just what i needed

Boonewielder's codex entry is as thorough as anyone can ask for, not only offering frames and hard data, but also (perhaps more crucially) guidelines, behavior and suggested usage for individual moves, on top of a general gameplan in the character's summary. It's perhaps one of the models for the ideal codex entry. Very well done.

@addict The squares on the HUD are Boonewielder's Charge stocks. Using the Charge special gives them a pip, and they can hold up to three charges at a time. A Charge stock is spent when Boonewielder uses any version of their Punish special, hit or miss (if they're interrupted, the stock is not spent).

It's the rock-solid gameplay and balance, combined with the absolute audacity of the character design, that makes Boonewielder stand out as a character worth having.

I love how we have characters like Wrath, Ronin, Red Mist, Moonwalker, and friggin GUILDEDGUY on the workshop roster, and yet THIS doofus is one of my favorite characters. I'm a sucker for characters and powers in games that specialize in defense and counterattacks, and Boonewielder basically allows you to cosplay as the immovable object. Boone is also, stupidly, the most visibly intimidating character in AND out of the YOMI roster, and I cannot explain why. We have cruel gods and wretched abominations up for grabs and yet the one thing that makes me oddly nervous is the friggin C U B E

10/10 mod, wish more people had it

this character is just neutral tools, even mildly good di eradicates his combo potential. That being said this is one of my favourite things in this game. Every tool is just as minimalist as the character's design and I love it.
