Thank you for this. I actually found a way using python to create something similar but unique giving me a little more control over what I want changed. I will definitely look into yours and use the diffchecker to see what ideas we had that were similar and maybe what you did better and incorporate it into mine.

Because some things no longer exist or are inactive, transferring them by hand was a little quicker. It seems to be error-free on my side. What equipment is missing and should reappear and weapon values or similar would be good if you can help me there.

It will probably take some time to transfer the whole thing to RE 2 (Beta). Everything has to be recreated because my difftool can no longer create any reference because everything is mixed up.

Any chance for a RE2 (beta) port of this? I know how much work that is, so I wouldn't be upset if you can't. I tried myself and end up breaking something every time.

Unless I've missed something while waiting for RE 2, the current files should be compatible with Standard Empyrion.

@daimonicon, Quick question, do you plan to keep up with reforged 2 as it is drawing closer to release or will you just keep up RE 1 with this mod? not a problem if you don't want to run with RE2 but doesn't hurt to ask.

And game required me to delete this scenario saved data because it is no longer compatible or supported. I guess it means have to start over from scratch by making new saved data by waiting for new update of this scenario first. I am unsure if making new saved game without scenario new update will cause problem, so I will be waiting.

Empyrion update 1.11 made the scenario unplayable. As soon as I enter the orbit of a planet I'm greeted by the delicious "error" message.

ive recently startet the ultra hard rogue start. the small energie cells came in handy on that planet. now that iam off it you can do whatever you like xD. the main thing is to keep the scenario up to date.

Yeah, I found out it is from vanilla changes, but I don't understand why they do that. It is like weapon T1 and T2 will have different ammo that didn't make sense. Shotgun and Assault Shotgun use same ammo. Assault Rifle and Pulse Rifle use same ammo, and list goes on. Only scenarios will have different rules within creators' rights. Just like they refuse to go with carbon to make portable constructor and stick with old way by using iron ores to make portable constructor in Reforged Eden.

To be precise, I wanted to switch all multitools + drills to the energy cells - something may have gone wrong. For me it was always a milestone to have to get pro. -ore first to be able to benefit from the Multi Tool. Should I change this again in the next patch?

in Vanilla they added new really cheap small energie cells which are craftable very early in the game. Only the T2 Multi-Tool uses multi-charge. The author of this (Mod)Mod accidentally forgot to add AmmoType: MultiCharge, display: true to the MultiToolT2.

what worked in my case is to start a new game with the same seed than your old save.
Exit after start and copy all Files from your old save except the game.dat files to your new save and overwrite everything. you can find your seed in the console after loading your old save a last time.

I currently have a save in the older version before I saw you made a merge. Is there any way I can port that save to this version or update the blocks in the old one?

I don't think they have a TechTree entry either. Drill and Multitool should also use energy cells according to the latest status.

I have no idea what the effect blocks are. I have overwritten the bundles folder with the one from ReEden - I hope this fixes what is missing.

seems to be really usefull with these cells. I have changed the ammunition to small energy cells for Multitool + Drill T2. I couldn't see a problem and you only need one type - let me know if I've missed something.

So actually overwriting should also work, I'm just not quite sure whether problematic residual files can remain. If you want to transfer your config entries, the easiest and quickest way would be to use a programme like WinMerge or Meld - provided you know your entries exactly. Or manually if there are only a few.

Sounds good, thank you! As for the Gdrive, I have a savegame going under it and have also made a couple of changes myself to the config. I've never updated a scenario for this game so I was wondering if doing an overwrite of the scenario would be enough? Or if there's something else that would be better for me to do

Thanks, I'm not playing Empyrion myself right now, so the message is very helpful. I'll get to work on the update. I haven't updated the GDrive files since (July) either I would delete the GDrive and then use the current version. I should probably also write an info for the GDrive version and then remove it if nobody uses it any more.

Also, I'm using the google drive download you linked back in July I think, to update that would I just subscribe to this and overwrite the files?

anyone having an issue with heavy laser guns on a sv? they fire but are not hitting anything unless im pretty much touching the thing im shooting at.

I did a compare of the Ad Astra BlocksConfig and this one for the solar panels, and they're identical. We know the AdA solar panels work. Could you try to unsub/resub to this scenario to see if it does anything?

I totally get the concept guys. I've been playing this game for years and have close to 5k hours into it. I was simply stating I'm not able to get them to work on this scenario. The lights do not show they are working to be able to tell they are doing what they are supposed to. It appears to me they are not because I have everything shut down on the starter CV when I'm offline other then the main power and the grow plot lights and O2 vents. I was clearly pointing out what I was experiencing so maybe, just maybe somebody would look at the coding to see if a T wasn't crossed and an I wasn't dotted. What is so wrong with somebody double checking a code?

As stated CV panels do not generate charge, They act like the geothermal gen and wind turbins in that they reduce the power consumption of base or cv. It is possible to generate (-) negative power allowing you to charge a solar cap thus running your base or cv indefinitely provided you power setup is set to say a specific number on a specific amount of devices you use. IE, decons or constructors.

So essentially you will use them to "idle" the ship and be able to charge a battery or two, four what have you. and not use much fuel at all. so while your offline on a server your ship will never run out of energy because you have the set up of tank, gen to produce power, with solar panel to reduce or become more energy efficient and a battery back up because you can charge a battery when you generate negative energy.

a very interesting and somewhat elaborate thing ravien has made.

I'm not sure I understand you, but the CV solar panels don't generate electricity like their BA counterparts - they just subtract x watts from your total usage. If you switch off everything that can be switched off as a test, you might even end up with a consumption of -x watts. If I'm not mistaken, they generate this amount no matter where you are, regardless of the sun or similar.

Can not seem to get the CV Solar Panels to work. Neither on planet or in space pointed directly into the sun. Without being able to use a solar capacitor on a CV, Because this is on my server, I'm always logging on to check it because I have sprouts I don't want to die. Other then that, this is a great scenario.

The unbalanced setting have made it SO much easier for us single players. Ravien and Vermillion have done a terrific job with re and re2 is looking to be amazing.

But you sir have made it possible to play 😁 on the single player level and for that I am truly greatfull
