Yes, the original asset name was intended to be "Road Trams", but since the Utsunomiya Road Trams were named "LRT", the LRT designation was used for ease of understanding. In reality, both assets have the yellow arrow signals (although Utsunomiya has the newer ones).
I think maybe they are both considered road trams under Japanese law even though they have different names?
Anyway, this is a very interesting reminder^^
