And it has 20 round magazine, not 30!

This swep is like the real weapon, unreliable and broken

The Chauchat has a terrible reputation it doesn't really deserve. The versions produced in 8mm Lebel weren't great, but they worked. Their main problem was using aluminum were it shouldn't have been used, and the magazines were of poor construction. Versions in 7.92 Mauser were actually fairly good, seeing service into the 1930's. It gets its terrible reputation from the .30-06 Springfield variant for the US military. They were poorly rebarreled versions of the 8mm Lebel done by a company called Gladiator. These terrible rebarrelings combined with WW1 conditions led to US troops giving it its poor reputation. If Gladiator didn't do such a terrible job rebarreling them and the two easy to fix issues been resolved, these guns would have probably gone down as one of the better automatic rifles (This is not a light machine gun) of WW1.

BTW, in the code: Using IronSightsPos/Ang does not actually do anything in M9K. Change it to just say SightsPos/Ang and the ironsights will work properly.

I was shooting at some enemies from the trench and the gun got stuck by the mud from the trenches, thank god for the browning i don`t have to use this french ♥♥♥♥ anymore!

It was working how it was supposed to work cover fire and it was doing it good, the americasn converted this gun poorly and that's why it was jamming the french version worked how it was supposed to work, read Petain note on the gun the soldier loved it. It was an offensive MG very light and was not supposed to defend a position French had their own defensive MG (Hotchkiss M1914) It had problems in the mud in flanders but if you kept it clean It would work

In real life it was Garbage and now it is still Garbage no matter what is said be it good or wonderful it will alwyas be known as a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and the stupid french gave it to the poor americans and that got them killed so no wonder why they made the Browning Automatic Rifle.

The v_model texture of the rounds in the magazine window are pink/black. Am I missing something, cause the rest of the weapon is fine...

Only in a video game could the Chauchat actually be useful as a firearm.

actually, the chauchat was a great machine gun

but when they converted it to use american ammunition it became a piece of ♥♥♥♥ and that's the version people think of when you say chauchat

"the bolt would fly into you face" that is mostly a myth, also the american .30 chauchat was the bad one. the .30 round was to powerful for the gun to fire. Even then the french one still had a few problems...

i would think another bad one would be the ross straight pull bolt action rifles since they could be reassembled in a way that when you fire, the bolt will fly into your face. and also like many straight pull rifles, it did not tolerate dirt or grime. it shares the same weakness as the manlicher rifles. i appologise if i get the names of the rifles wrong.

@Annoying Rooster oh god, the breada-30 LMG if you make that thats probably the worst if not rivaling the chauchat's bad design closely, infact the 2 worst guns ever made and their both LMG's. If you make the breada-30 LMG ill laugh... then the whole gun collection is just... complete, minus the british sticky grenade, but thats already been put in Call of duty 3 online multiplayer...

You'd be suprised about the amount of requests I get for this gun. I agree, it's a piece of ♥♥♥♥ weapon in real life and indeed a terrible gun. But I coded it and ported it to satisfy the people's fetish.

I have a Whole WW1 Weapon Pack in my other workshops that are Avaliable that Include the Lee Enfield, Mauser, Lewis Gun, and all others.
