Also, the esc-exiting could be an issue from UI Dynamic. Enough mods require it that I haven't played without in awhile. Don't care to test it now though, cause this fixed it either way!

Did paradox seriously break this again? I don't play stellaris anymore, so I can't be bothered continuously fixing their shitty code. Yes, this should still work, unless they have completely reworked how events function for literally no reason in an effort to fix things that aren't broken

No, I'll not be doing that, mainly because I don't know how. If you want a proper solution to this issue instead of removal of the problematic element, you can ask Paradox to do that

Any chance you could also add a warm-up period for the X button as well? Say, half a second, or a second? I somewhat regularly also close events that pop up as I'm closing a different event, since the x button is instantly active and in the same spot.

Dude, what a friking genious, I pressed several times ESC on events, expeditions and even Operations just because I was doing it for something else, I even once lost all the Dragon Chain cause I pressed ESC on the wrong time ;-;

yes, I am aware of the bug report. I made this mod because I am afraid that Paradox are going to either never fix it at all or take a really long amount time to fix it. I prefer to have my game playable right now.
