belted clothpants use the leather material even if you can craft them in the armor smith
change that or make you can craft those pants in the leather station

Armour stats are still (slightly) lower than vanilla samurai gear because it offers much more coverage, win some, lose some. Das kenshi baybee.

Vanguard Samurai Longcoat dont use fabrics when crafted via smitting, kinda unbalance since you just have to make armor plate

Isn't the armor performance bad?
If it had the same performance as the Samurai Armor, I would have used it.

Really good mod but can you make these armors recolorable?

If you want the mech suits, gotta get that mod from LunaticFox, dig through the steam mod list to find it, move it to the game folder mod list, then remove everything you dont want in FCS using the "changes" tab at the top

There is no purple samurai armour in this mod, just the vanilla-esque gear like in the thumbnail
