Just a heads-up, the little decorations on the berrymaker appear on top of everything, even objects/pawns the berrymaker is behind.

@ShadowEater25 I would assume this mod is going to be, at most, just maintained and not added to. Spirits of Industry seems to be the next evolution in the series and is likely the only one that will have content added to it.

That said, i would absolutely welcome a 1.6 compat update for this mod as well, i've used it for a long time and i miss having it in the list.

This one doesn't have any custom armor, so I could probably easily update this version to 1.6

@Rex705 - I might just add mod settings to the newer mod to bring back the medieval tech factions. Right now I plan on just keeping this mod as is.

@Faya AOP - They can only eat raw meat if they don't have access to sunlight. It was originally supposed to be a balance choice to prevent them from being too overpowered due to their very strong melee power, but I feel I just made them annoying to manage.

In the last preview image I show where the mod settings are. The screenshot itself is old so it doesn't show it, but one of them will allow you to let them eat meals like normal. Remember to restart the game after enabling it.

Possible reason for my Dryad colonist to refuse to eat normal meals? Sunlight diet only?

The others wouldn't be that hard to add, I'm just currently focusing on other mods at the moment. Once I remake this mod the other types may be included in some form.

Would be kinda cool to be able to get colonist dryads like how you get normal dryads through the gaurenlen tree but you need to do some sort of gathering or offering for the tree to make a dryad colonist

This mod will be getting completely remade for 1.5.
Of course, assuming HAR gets updated, which it seems it is.

@War potato - Unfortunately the original texture artist hasn't been active in a long time, so unless he returns soon I can't really add new content. However, I have had plans to remake this mod with my own art, I just need to find the time to do that. Once that happens I can add as many dryad variants as I want.

@Withy - Yeah, without something like Dub's Skylights the food situation can get pretty annoying. It's why I added a mod option to just allow them to eat anything, for people who don't want to deal with it.

When I'm doing a playthrough I usually just put skylights around where I know they will be most of the time and that does the trick, while also ensuring they get outdoor access in between points of interest.

Also note that they don't mind sleeping outside, so if it gets really desperate I can just remove the roof of their bedroom (Or anywhere else they hang around).

so i did some testing. It seems the only way to keep these pawns from not being malnourished all the time is to use sun lamps and a dedicated sleeping schedule. Put a sun lamp in their room firstly. The problem with sun lamps is that they turn off at night, so we need to give them a sleep schedule during the day so they sleep while the sun lamp is on. Make a schedule where they sleep from 6 to 13, work from 14 to 3, and recreation from 4 to 5. The work schedule is important, because if they are set to do anything instead of working, their sleep schedule can become out of sync with the sun lamp timing.

Dryads can eat salted meat from the Kijin mod if you want to send them on caravans.

@Di3zel - Did you use the mod option? In the Vanilla Expanded Framework -> Togglable Patches tab there's a bunch of options, one of which lets them eat anything a normal human would (disable dryad food restrictions). Try enabling that, restart, then see if that works.

Any way to change what they primarily eat? Meat or corpses. Tried changing their diet restrictions but that didn't help. My pawn got hungry and wouldn't eat anything..

re: the function of a woodmaker dryad, cultures with the tree connection meme get a mood penalty every time you cut a tree, so bonding with and cultivating dryads was a way to give them passive wood production that doesn't require killing anything.

Would it be possible to get a setting to turn on/off the ability to feed off sunlight? That's just a bit too Overpowered, and not all that fun, in my mind.

Hello! There is a slight incompatibility with this race and Hospitality, because the dryads guests can't find any food to eat, causing a persistent alert and starvation during bad weather.

This can be fixed by copying the Visitor_Outlander_Standard TraderKindDef and adding a new item to it for StockGenerator_Category with categoryDef RawMeat. Then, in your FactionDef, replace the visitorTraderKinds with the new TraderKindDef. The dryads will then be able to grab raw meat to eat when hungry as a visitor. If You intend to Support Facial Animation I would Suggest basing it on NAL´s Facial Animation Mod.
Doing that is actually not that Difficult.
And given that You seem to work alot with Creating Sprites etc. The one Big Tedius Part which is to Adjust the Positions and Sprites for FA Support. Would likely be on the easy side for You.

That being said. This is a Free Mod. So no need to Push Yourself if You got more Importand stuff to attend to ;)
After all. Its easy for me to Talk like that when I am not the one who could actually do it xD

Hmm, yeah i didnt know about the crash land scenario part, but i do use character editor and i couldnt for the life of me get one to work so im not sure what im doing wrong with it? i play with alot of the medieval mods and was wondering if its somehow gated behind that?

@Noelle - Sorry for the late response. You can only start with them in the default Crashlanded scenario, where they have a chance to spawn instead of a normal human colonist. Just click randomize until a dryad shows up.
If you have Character Editor installed you can also add them there, though it's slightly more complicated.

@Antearz - I wish I knew how, but I also would like to integrate Facial Animations support. I'll look into it someday.
