Hello, I'd have a question regarding your Submarine:

Would you consider making an extended version for your Submarines to include a Stove and other Kitchen Utensils to allow usage for the "Hungry Europans" Mod, or would you rather allow a repost of this Submarine (with link to this Page) so a seperate Version can be made?

If both not good, then is ok anyways, would just hope for an answer. Thanks!

@Soft Head it can only be opened by the captain, as it can act as an additional ballast to increase the dive speed. I hope you understand :securityofficer2:

I prefer and used the S-618 because the command room is located at the front and middle level of the sub. The S-618 have few see through windows in the main access areas to get players more involved with is going on outside. The S-619 is a bigger and powerful sub which i like........of course i will like it more if it will have more windows in the main access areas like the 618, all these comments are just my preferences. These 2 subs are my top choice because again the design details......the warm cozy high tech feeling it gives to some of the players lol. I sent over some points few day ago for appreciation and support.

@valveworshipper the sub hasn’t been updated in some time, now that I figured out how that works on my other submarine, the S-619, I will update this one in the near future. I’d be happy to answer most of your requests/critiques as long as they are constructive, yours isn’t. And stay polite.

@Pun there is a lever in the command room labeled “Lockdown” and “Lock upper hatch”, turn them off and you’ll be good to go.

Aye, one of us forgot one too many levers on and the outside buttons didn't work proper, it's fine now, though we were unable to shoot the railgun

@CptMaxwell don't worry the hatch is completly fine, i already stated that it's impossible to go in the sub at the first outpost. If you want the upper hatch to open at the next one you'll go, find the "lock upper hatch" lever in the command room and disable the lockdown. Hope this helps.

@oblivi0ngate First of all thanks, I did put a lot of time building the SCORCH. As for your upgrade problem, did the shell loader of the railgun change into a coilgun loader ? (I also have to admit that the large hardpoint wasn’t supposed to be changed and that probably why it doesn’t work.)

@Rondson I really didn’t have any idea of why there was this whole damage thing with collisions, glad you could find the solution.
I also want to thank you for your detailed feedback as it’s really important for us submarine creators to know what’s good and what is not.
The lack of electric coils was indeed a design choice as I found that the sub was already pretty powerful but I understand that the lack of these can have a negative impact in a modded playthrough (I often play with Barotraumatic, and i’ve made a submarine, the S-616 for me and my friend to play : I installed automatic electric coils on it and it felt overpowered so that’s also one of the reasons I didn’t include this in the SCORCH design.
Regarding the torpedos, I have to admit they’re really satisfying to use 🙂

And for the oxygen tank storage with welding fuel in it, I have to admit that it can be confusing for some crew members (I sadly couldn’t disable putting oxygen tank in the container) but I probably won’t wire it to the main grid as it is supposed to hold the welding fuel.

Once again, I really want to thank you for your very detailed feedbacks as they help me to improve the submarine. I’m glad that the barotrauma community has members like you.

Back to you! Was a goofy ahh modding business, resolved by removing some things from a modlist.
Feedback:
1) Lack of shock coils at Left ballast, Right ballast , torpedo bay and a leftmost wall of the cargo bay (I do acknowledge that it might be a design choice, of course) shows with community difficulty overhauls and it does results in players going outside and touch water whilst packing a weapon to kill a stuck crawler or whatever Europa merrily hurls in your general direction;

2) Torpedoes feel great when they hit, and if they don't - it is but a skill issue;

3) Oxygen tank loaded up by welding fuel at the may be very much misleading (maybe)? One of my crew members was wondering why said oxygen tank shelf wasn't connected to reactor (I did not put much thoughts into this as a captain, admittedly)

4) Overall very jolly and nice sub for crew of 4 and more. Layout is very evident, nice set of traits, good gun coverage and a roaring engine to boot. Ver nice.

Greetings once again!

I ran into peculiar situation, don't know whether it's vanilla or mods that are causing it, but, whenever -anything- rams the sub, it causes a 5-10% health loss for anyone aboard, no matter their station on the ship.

Myself and my friends aren't using NT, but we do use Barotraumatic and such isn't prescribed to be the case.

Any idea what is this behaviour?

Yeah that was it. I thought that levers being in the bottom position did stood for those features (lock top hatch and lockdown) being disabled.

Oh, I have no issue with click-to-detonate torpedoes, I actually prefer them. Just wasn't detonating when clicked. It may very well have just been the detonation range, I'll try that. As for the airlocks, I may have just forgotten about the lockdown lever. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Did you flip the "lock top hatch" and "lockdown" levers in the command room ? if yes you first have to open the top hatch with the button in the airlock, then press on the button wired with the black cable (the one on the left) to open the very top hatch.

@Agitatio as i have previously said this sub is at 8000mk so people can play with it as soon as they start a new campaign. And you should check the ship lore as to why it's a scout.

@ŁYNX if you don't like the "click to detonate" you can toggle the assault fuse under the torpedo command screen. Also there is a kind of range safety on the torpedo preventing it's explosion radius to damage the sub.
As for the airlock problem, you have to disable the "lock top hatch" and deactivate the "lockdown" lever.

There's a slight issue with the airlocks: When you push the button wired by red cable at the top hatch, none of them open up/unlock. Could you pls check?

Love this ship! Is there a specific way to detonate the torpedoes? Sorry if I missed something obvious. Simply clicking after launching doesn't seem to work. Also, the airlocks don't seem to function, regardless of whether the "lock top hatch" lever is pulled or not. Apologies if I'm being a dunce! Thanks.
