I really love this mod. Too bad it does not applied to habitat. Thank you for sharing it with us and keeping it up to date!

I am sorry, I don't have the time to create and maintain yet another mod. I can, however, point you to an alternative: compatibility patches between real space and more events mod should fix the MEM shields. In fact, they might even fix shields from this mod, although don't take my word for it, I never tested that :)

Could you maybe, make a patch with real space if you have time please ? I have the two installed and this Amazing shield mod does not work :(

@Kasspar Maybe instead of being a screeching toddler, realise that MOST mods arent IronMan compatible. So instead of getting pissy at a mod author that the mod they made isnt IronMan compatible, take some time for yourself and learn that your not the centre of attention and that your placing unrealistic expectations on mod authors who make fantastic content for the community.

How is a someone supposed to look into a mod manager if he doesn’t have one!? If you release your content to the public, be good guy and ADD A NOTICE ABOUT ACHIEVEMENTS INCOMPATIBILITY! It's so hard? NO!

Actually, its a simple change that takes seconds. While uploading, you just change the Stellaris release version the mod is compatible with in the up-loader interface and then click upload. The descriptor.mod file for the mod will be updated with the Stellaris release version the mod is compatible with automatically for you. I do this with my custom race after testing their compatibility with new releases of Stellaris. Quick and easy.

But I use a few mods in my load order that are "flagged as possibly not compatible". I try my best to verify whether they will still run and make my best guess. If I'm not sure, I just stop using a mod and look for another similar mod and start supporting that mod. Better to have a stable game playthrough than to include a cool mod that might self destruct my save file during gameplay.

It already says the name of the game on the top of the page, so there's not really a reason to add it, is there? Matter of fact, every "example" you used is a straw-man, and you know it. I get it you don't agree with me, but is it so hard not to be so condescending?

Would I like every single mod to clarify if they modify the checksum? Yes! Best case scenario it would be a checkbox that you can toggle, would make browsing the workshop so much easier, but as there is no such thing, we could all agree to use the next best thing, and I don't see why it would be such a problem, or why it merits a rude response.

Hope you continue to have fun modding in the future :)

Hey borsk! Even though this mod will work just fine on 3.10 and probably future versions as well, would you consider updating the metadata file to list this file as built for 3.*.* so mod launchers don't scream at us for using an "incompatible version"?

If you need to distinguish checksum-modifying mods from non-checksum-modifying mods, just use irony mod manager, it puts a special icon next to non-checksum-modifying ones

There are currently 28'283 mods in Stellaris workshop. Would you like every single one of them to add that line to their description? Should I maybe add to the description of my mod that it's a mod for Stellaris, not Europa Universalis IV? I mean, it's also just one line. Should I add a line that mentions that you need to install the game before you can use this mod? Should I also add a line that mentions that you need to research planetary shields before you can build them?

Please, consider mentioning that this mod modifies the checksum (and disables achievements) in the description. No-one likes disabling mods one-by-one and a random comment is easy to miss if you install 20 mods at once.

This mod dosen't require updating. As you can read in the description, "Since no files are modified, this mod is also very unlikely to break in future versions of the game"

is there a way to disable this mod for a specific planet type? I have a Stellar Ring Habitat from gigastructural engineering, and it's putting the shield in the middle of the halo ring :)

Love the idea here, but FYI it doesn't work for me on several levels. With the Mass Relay mod active ( https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1315017527 ), a mass relay appears above the planet rather than showing the shield graphics. Even with that mod deactivated, my error log is chock full of messages like this: <<Failed to find entity "mem_planet_shield_scaling_25_ambient_entity" for attachment in>> and this: <<Script Error: Invalid context switch [last_created_ambient_object]>>. I don't have the time or the patience to pursue it any further, but if/when you update this I'd love to try it out again.

shields don't scale properly around artificial planets @savadrin
neither do orbital rings, but in OR's case it works by giving the illusion that a hab IS also a starbase

i'm guessing you have the custom ambient object set to 0.15 for planets @borsk?
if it suits you you could make another specifically for habitats at... I think 0.3?
a shield around a hab looks pretty cool

No its reworked tactical battelfiel not real space. It's just x2 scale.
