I would say tf2 is old enough that people can accidentally recreate cosmetics that are already in the game but surely one of the five people who worked on this knew of the medi mask? This isn't badly made or anything it's just that we already have this.

I'm pretty sure that Vitreous Glassy was refering to Medic cosmetic Medi-Mask.
(Which i can see why some people would get mixed up if the teeth design were to be removed)

Also Berlin Brain Bowl is a combo of a Mask, Balaclava and a Helmet with no alternate styles to remove either the helmet or mask(Also removing the ability to combine it with other headgears)

And before you ask, i'm not judging your opinon. if you read my comment below, i said that i just like the teeth design. we all are allowed to have different opinions after all.

The teeth feel pretty tacky and would work great as a second style, but alone without a normal looking style I don't want this

In my opinon, i honestly love the teeth design and think it should stay. I'd rather have a cosmetic with a unique design than a generic design that can easily be confused with some already in-game existing cosmetic.
(Compatriot and Private Maggot Muncher for example can easily be mixed up, due to they both are based on Bald Eagles)

Why the teeth? A simple mask would be fine
