It would look stupid painted in pink or lime, but the people you worry will paint it bright pink or lime already use cosmetics that are painted that color anyways. The benefits of being able to paint the hat and hair different colors that work well with the cosmetic heavily outweigh the downside of people being able to paint another hat with an obnoxious color.
