Since it's been a long, long while with no sign of updating, I've taken it upon myself to make a fix-patch for this (that uses Wider Events as a hard-dependency), if you want to take it, kill it, or use it, then it's yours to do with as the original author: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3504913337

While this mod does work, events that have 6 options go off the screen and aren't available, for example The Bonedancer Password Guessing minigame becomes impossible to complete

Yeah, but you'd need to make a new png file for the event borders. The way this thing works is it just replaces the event png with a new one that's bigger and it tells the game to use a bigger text box and put the option(s) in different spot(s).

If you wanna steal my files and do it for TNO yourself, feel free. All it does is modify the interface files for event types and includes wider versions of them that I edited myself; all you'd have to do is edit your own wider images and then make sure their filenames are appropriately placed.
